Hello everyone! Some of you I've met virtually in our previous calls. But, I'll do a little more formal intro of myself. My author journey has been circuitous to say the least. I've written several tennis instructional books over the past few decades. In the late 90s I self-published a book and program called the Anti-Diet and was fortunate to be on a very large speaking tour, selling a lot of product from stage. In 1999, I published with Wiley & Sons, The Corporate Athlete book which was part of our program at a business I cofounded called the Human Performance Institute. I then coauthored the The Corporate Athlete Advantage in 2008. And, now, we fast forward to today, and my involvement with the Booklaunchers team. On January 8 (yes, in less than two weeks) my memoir launches. It is titled: "Mountains Within: A Life of Achievement. A Quest for Meaning. And, the Mountain that Changed Everything.The pre-sales have been good and our launch event will be live-streamed that evening at 6:00 pm Eastern Time US. In past years when I filmed a video looking into the year ahead I said things like 'reviews are still important, audiobooks continue to grow, and build your own audience' and all of that remains true however this is the first time I've looked ahead and gone 'woah - this year is going to be really different than past years!'. Reflecting on childhood memories over the holidays is a given. Watching holiday classics evokes nostalgia, reminding me of the lessons that quality time together fills the heart. Quality time with the family watching a movie is that similar fulfilling experience to quality time with myself writing- contributing to this community. The writing journey of my first book began for me over 2 years ago just before the holidays. My writer’s journey began a quarter century before that.
