Hi all, been following Marcin and M1 Capital for a little while now and am eager to learn more about what the group can do for me and how I can add back value to the group! I have a strong institutional commercial real estate background and have invested billions of institutions' money in real estate (many asset classes: office, industrial and retail) and am on my own now trying to do the same for a group of investors, though I am going to likely start with multi-family assets. I am going to focus on HNW investors and need some guidance on best practices to raise capital from that group. Would be great to connect and share ideas!

For all the real estate agents out there, does anyone combine personal branding for their real estate biz and their real estate investing biz in the same social media pages? Or should we use different social media pages?

Not highly recommended by Marketers - may confuse the audience if you and the biz are the same person. However having said that, in my case I do. I am careful to produce different kinds of posts for each to avoid redundancy and overlap: One type for enforcing my brokerage brand and what it stands for; and, another type of content as an agent showcasing my skills and how I specifically add value to my clients under the umbrella of the brokerage brand. The reason I do this, is in case I hire more agents/staff on my team, I control the over-arching message of the Brokerage Brand while allowing them to have their own individual content as a team member (an ambassador) of that corporate brand. In Canada, we are governed by specific rules regarding client confidentiality, non-disclosure of transactions, protocols for advertising, stated claims/representations in our marketing and how we present data to the public; so, it's important to protect the Brokerage brand from that potential harm from any one individual that may mis-step across the line by accident.
