CalSync Issues
Ive installed corectly and found the correct settings for Google Calendar, but I'm having an issue that I cant seem to resolve; "All day" events are being listed over two days (day of and the next day, screenshot )

can you check that this event has the same timezone settings as your global calendar. Also check if you have duplicate events on different calendars. It will help us troubleshoot thanks.

@Wes Dwight Ahhh -- that is a good detail. It could be that the event was created from someone else and shared it with you. If the event was created with a different timezone it will try and convert it to the timezone your calendar is configured to and cause the time shift.
tech support
So how long does it typically take to get a response to an email sent to support?

Usually 24 hours maybe a little longer. I can help you here though.

@Anella Hall Hi — I completely understand the hesitation. When you hear “developer mode,” it can sound scary. Here’s what that actually means on a reMarkable: - It simply enables SSH access to the tablet’s file system. - It does not jailbreak the device. - It does not remove your data (it just forces you to pull it down from the cloud). - It does not void your warranty. reMarkable devices run on a Linux-based OS, and SSH access is built into the system by the manufacturer. Developer mode just turns on access that’s already there. Why is it required? CalSync needs direct access to generate and place your planner file onto the tablet. reMarkable does not provide a public API for third-party apps to write planners into the device storage, so SSH is the only supported way to do this. Important: - You can turn developer mode off later if you want. - Your tablet still remains protected by your device passcode. - SSH access only works while on your local network. Thousands of users run CalSync and Binder this way safely.
Need help
I downloaded the latest update of calsync Vault this morning. When I connected my Remarkable Pro, I had to re-enter all my information and reauthorize my Mac. I got a message that I had installed the software on too many computers and need to buy more seats. This is the same computer I have been using, so I am unable to sync my calendar. Suggestions?

@Stewart Cramer we are working on this but the issue we would have to put it in a subscription because to do so would have to persist in servers. What if anything would you be willing to pay per month if we offer this service. We may put it in one of our existing subscription plans.

@Stewart Cramer let us roll this around in our brains for a bit. I think the problem is real and we would love to solve it for everyone.
eBook not accurate for Apple iCloud
The instructions in both the ebook and in the classroom state to hover over my calendar and get a share link. Nope. Not there... I can go to "Show Calendar Information" and depending on the type of calendar I may get the Public toggle. This doesn't work for my key calendar which is my family shared calendar. There is no way to make this a public ics file that I can locate. Is there another way to synchronize Apple shared calendars?

Has to be done from a browser. in icloud. click the user icon at the end of the item with the calendar displayed. Then toggle the "Public Calendar" Switch to the on position. It will display a webcal url. Copy it but when you enter it in CalSync make sure you replace the webcal:// to https://
✅ Binder Cloud Update — Version 5.0.13
We’ve shipped a new Binder update focused on custom screens, clarity, and restore control. Here’s what’s new: We just released a Hotfix for version 5.0.12 - we noticed slow navigation and issues with template restoration. What’s new in this release: - Custom screens now display cleanly without being covered by the default startup carousel - Added a one-click Restore option to re-enable the original reMarkable startup carousel - Improved screen upload handling for more reliable results - Enhanced restore feedback with clearer progress indicators - General stability improvements and performance optimizations - noticed an issue where update window was opening at the wrong times If you’re already using Binder, we recommend updating to get the latest improvements. As always, thanks for the feedback — it directly drives updates like this. Those of you that are having issues connecting if you could explain the system details you are running on and for extra credit a video of what your experience is. We are taking all of these issues very seriously and we are trying to nail this down for everyone. It gets a little difficult because everyones setups are different. We have some features we want to release but want to make sure everyone can connect.

@Patrick Mccarthy First, I want to be clear — I did not mean to insult you. I was simply explaining the reasoning behind the original implementation, not dismissing your concern. If it came across that way, that wasn’t the intention. You’re absolutely right that storing anything resembling a password in clear text — even in a folder name — doesn’t feel great from a security perspective. I think a good approach would be to use the tablet’s device-id instead. That ID is already visible on the device, it’s not a login credential, and it can’t be used to authenticate. It’s simply a unique identifier. So instead of referencing a password, folders could look something like: /backups/device-uuid-abc123/ Even better, we could allow users to name the connection in settings (for example myremarkable1, work-tablet, etc.) and use the device-id quietly behind the scenes to keep things unique. That’s a cleaner solution overall. I’ll pass this along to the team. I appreciate you calling it out directly — that kind of feedback genuinely helps improve the product.
