@Ryan Appel me too. I learned of Ayn Rand in an article in the New Yorker magazine several years ago, and bought all of her books, then read as many issues of the Objectivist as I could find. Lead me down a 10 year delve in philosophy.

🎩 Style Fun Fact: Did You Know?
The suit jacket’s left breast pocket was originally designed for… your pocket square – not your phone, wallet, or receipts! 😅 Back in the day, men carried a clean handkerchief in their trouser pocket for practical use (think blowing your nose or offering it to a lady). The chest pocket? That was purely for style – to show off a folded square of fabric that added color, flair, and personality. So the next time you’re suiting up, remember: 📍 Pocket square in the jacket 📍 Handkerchief in the trousers 📍 And your confidence? Worn everywhere. Style isn’t just about looking good—it’s about knowing the why behind what you wear. Now we want to hear from YOU! 🧵 Do you wear pocket squares? Why or why not? 👔 What’s your go-to fold: classic, puff, or presidential? 🧠 And bonus: What’s one "style rule" you used to follow that you’ve now broken (or redefined)? Let’s trade stories and style wisdom in the comments!

@John Lyon I’d consider something to pull the overall look together (white shirt, blue jeans- go with a blue and white pattern or trim)
Suit Frustrations
Why is it that every suiting company out there (That I've seen so far) that makes Big Men's suits, feel like they have to make everything stretch. I only have a Men's Wearhouse and a Boscov's department store in my area, So I took to looking online. DXL everything is Polyester/elasticine...The word wool hardly shows up. I've looked at King Size just on a whim, but we all know the quality and outdated style of their stuff. They think everything has to be super long or super stretchy in order to fit right. I have a wedding to go to in August, and I need a suit. I want something that's going to be a multi-season suit so that I can get a bit more wear out of it. I've got a budget of $500 - $600 bucks, any suggestions. I'm going to go into men's wearhouse to get measured because I don't know my size, before I gained my weight, I was a 44 regular all day long. But now I think I'm a 50 or 52 just so I'm able to button it around my belly. I'm probably going to have to get suit separates because of the waist sizes that typically come with a 50 or 52 jacket.

K&G warehouse carries suit sizes up to 60 long, and clothing up to 6x…they are owned by Men’s warehouse, but carry a wider variety of clothing

Just an old Marine, and grandpa with a fun hobby collecting and learning about watches. I even spent a while selling watches for a major retailer.
