Paying for this site
I guess I may be the only one on here who Is not going to pay to be in this group. So, if this is my last month on this site I would like to thank everyone for your support and friendships over the past few years. I have learned a lot and met a lot of great gentleman on here. Hope I can stay, but not worth paying monthly or yearly for in this economy. I have to use my extra cash to live nowadays so, again thank you for everything, and I’ll continue until they kick me off. I will Continue to use the style system and keep referring back to it when stumped. Keep it up gents it’s definitely been a pleasure.

I'm right there with you Richard. It's been a pleasure, but the value for money is just not there.
Birthday dinner outfit
My wonderful girlfriend took me out to dinner tonight for my birthday. She didn't approve of the photos of us together (women are weird about that sometimes) but she took some photos of me. I added the one of us together but cropped her out of it, per her wishes. Brioni blazer, Lucky denim jeans, blue Bogner turtleneck, Crockett and Jones monk strap shoes, and the Tag Heuer Carrera watch that she bought me for this birthday.

Happy Birthday. It’s a good thing you didn’t post in your birthday suit.

Happy start of the week! Green ribbed 1/4 zip over a blue and white checked shirt and brown corduroy. Wearing my Doc Martin shoes and my two-tone Fossil. Hope you all have a good start to the week.

Doc Martens are so underrated. They look especially good with that outfit.

Fall is where it gets interesting with layers and textures - corduroy, flannels and cashmere with warm knits, scarfs and boots. I personally love rollnecks, warm overshirts, safari jackets and corduroy trousers. But fall is also the season for hunting, and I have been doing outdoorsy things with guns to a large extent. Always trying to dress for the occasion. Here is a selection from dressed to functional from the last month. Dress intentionally.

Fall and spring for me are two of may favorite season (Summer, spring, fall, winter; in that order). I love to wear jackets and the season lends well to that because you can be stylish without too much bulk. Great look book you put together there.
Day two even better
Saturday morning began with me picking up Mark Joseph and his son at the Hardrock for a book signing at 9:15. All my drivers were coordinated and confirmed earlier that morning with a few texts. What an interesting day spent with the producer of the Reagan movie, Narnia, and the Passion of Christ. We had basically a whole day from 9 am to 9 pm together. After a ridiculously lackluster interest at the book store (an uber leftwing bookstore that catered to a group of witches -no kidding replete with pointed hats and a girl who wore a short that said I am a cat- Mark and I had a big laugh- although he is clearly on the other political side of the patrons not a single person even said hi to him). The great news is we had a 4 minute walk to the Bob Dillon museum and Mark is working on his next movie,/ documentary on Dillion. From that I took Mark and his son to the Will Rogers Parade. His son had never been to parade let alone ride on a float. Big day for him. Finally my buddy Ray a fellow driver, met me at the casino for the big event. The awards banquet was fascinating with people from as far away as Germany and artist from from Georgia to Oregon receiving medallions for their western books, music, and films. This was the inaugural Oklahoma location for this 20 something year awards program. Because it is entitled the Will Rogers Medallion Award, my friend Tad Jones the Executive Director of the Will Rogers Memorial and Jennifer Rogers the great granddaughter of Will got on their board and persuaded the awards to move from Fort Worth to here. I was completely blown away by the authenticity of these writers and musicians and feel I may have made some life long acquaintances and friends. It was of course a western theme so I donned my Hopi bolo tie, Indian bead belt, European goat skin Lucessee ropers, CT PoW shirt, 1987 MTM Royal blue blazer, and my grandfather’s Open Road silver belly from the late 1940’s. My wife wore a suede skirt that is 30 years old. Ironically this was the same combo she and I wore to the big Bolo Tie party in OKC at the Cowboy Hall of Fame in the 1990’s

I’m gonna say what others have said. I love the bolo. Combined with the silver accents of the belt it really blends well with what is already a fantastic outfit. Good lesson on elements of style.
