After watching the first lesson in the video, I decided to take the docker option but also wanted to be able to use webhooks on my local machine so that I can get the full dev experience. Basically I used Docker Compose to create an n8n instance with Postgres as a data store and to allow for experimenting with webhooks I am using cloudflared and included an automation that handles generating and configuring an ephemeral url.
