I live on the Northumberland coast and recently I was sitting watching the waves, thinking about the liminal space I am currently in, with one foot in my old life while those timelines come to an end and one foot waiting to land in a new unknown timeline, while feeling so many different emotions, mainly fear. Watching the waves I realised that the sea reflects every human emotion back to us, calmness, peace, even rage, but no matter the emotion it embodies it lets the energy of it be there, all the while staying true to its path. The tide comes in even when a storm is raging, and the tide goes out again even if it is at peace. Every time the tides flow in and out the beach transforms too, one tide may bring driftwood with it, another tide may gift a new shell. It helped me understand that no matter the emotions running through my system I can let them be there while still showing up in my truth and allowing my life to shift. That no emotion is permanent but change is inevitable. To welcome in endless waves of transformation.
