❤️ Happy Valentine's Day!
Today is Valentine's day and my husband got called out to work unexpectedly (which is a bummer because we were going to spend the day eating tacos and watching podcasts!) 👉 but today, I have a few lessons that are really being put on my heart. I attended this morning's book club and we talked about finding the time (and self love) to take care of ourselves properly. How often do we give ourselves to our kids, husbands, our friends, and clients? 🎉 and yet, we don't give ourselves to... ourselves! but the reality is that by not taking care of ourselves, we are not able to give our kids, husband, friends, and clients what they need and deserve. 🎯 and we're not living the life WE deserve. I used to believe that life was just suffering. That you had to suffer in the pursuit to give to everyone around us, but I have learned that life is JOY. You can actually give to everyone around you AND create joy around you. 🤯 We create joy by choosing what we do with our day, who we surround ourselves with, how we present ourselves, and how we treat ourselves (and how we allow others to treat us). So, my husband is on his way home from working as I write this and i'm about to start cleaning. Then, we'll have some snacks, pop on a podcast episode we've been saving for today, and when that's done, make some yummy tacos! 🥰 It might not be the most romantic thing in the world, but it's what is going to bring us both joy. and honestly, what more can we ask of life? 👇 What things are you doing today that are bringing you joy?
