@Aaron Auld welcome!

Sometimes life just gets in the way. The plan falls apart. The week goes sideways. Things that needed doing didn't get done and somehow it's already Friday. That's not weakness. That's just life. You don't have to make up for lost time. You don't have to punish yourself for the disruption. Just pick it back up. Quietly. Without the drama of a fresh start or a new plan. Right where you are. With what you have. That's enough to begin again.

Monthly Shoutout 🌿
I want to take a moment to recognise the people who’ve really shown up in here this month. šŸ’• Not just posting for points — but contributing, supporting, sharing and helping others feel less alone in it all. So here’s our Top 10: ✨ @Nova Maree-Prophet ✨ @Oddysey Campbell ✨ @Merrie B ✨ @Elena Maren ✨ @Chad Noorman ✨ @Shelly Richards ✨ @Sylv Davies ✨ @Devin Trent ✨ @Tim Tindle ✨ @Jason Dobbie A special shout out to the winners of our competitions this past month @Nova Maree-Prophet and @Merrie B !! I hope you have had a chance to use and enjoy the resources! This space works because of people like all of you. The comments, the encouragement, the honesty — it all adds up. And to everyone else here… even if you’ve been quieter, reading, taking things in, trying things at home — that matters too. If you’ve taken something from this space this month, this is your little nudge to give something back. A comment, a thought, a ā€œsame hereā€ā€¦ it all counts. That’s how this grows 🌱

@Mahmoud Mahmoud I don't do anything special, O just love reading the posts and learn from @Ellie
Stop telling yourself you should be able to ā€œstay calm.ā€
That idea sounds nice… but in real life, it can quietly set you up to feel like you’re failing. Because when your child is screaming, throwing things, completely overwhelmed — your nervous system isn’t sitting there saying, ā€œlet’s co-regulate.ā€ It’s going, ā€œwhat is happening right now?!ā€ That response isn’t a flaw. It’s your body doing exactly what it’s wired to do. The problem isn’t that you can’t stay calm. It’s that you’ve been given advice that ignores what’s actually happening in those moments. You don’t need to be perfectly calm. You need something to hold onto when everything feels loud, fast, and out of control. That’s where practical support matters. Not theory. Not ā€œjust breathe.ā€ Something simple, clear, and usable when your brain has gone offline. That’s exactly why I created the Parent Regulation Cards and Child Regulation Cards. They meet you in the moment — when you’re overwhelmed, your child is overwhelmed, and you need a way through that actually works in real life!

Big Welcome to another New member!
Welcome @Cheryl Quelch !! I’m really glad you’ve found your way here. This space exists to support parents and carers navigating big feelings, nervous systems, neurodivergence, and the real day-to-day stuff that doesn’t always fit into neat boxes. There’s no pressure to post or perform here — you’re welcome to read, reflect, join in when it feels right, or just quietly take what you need. If you feel like it, you’re welcome to introduce yourself in your own time. And if not, that’s okay too. You’re in the right place šŸ¤
