Why This?
As we move into uncertain times, it's important we stay focussed. We are open to the concepts of hope, trust and belief. Throughout the history of time, there have been wars, recessions, moments of despair and it seems there is no solution to the ever growing list of challenges we face. So when people turn to Tarot or Astrology for answers, yet this still isn't enough, you have to ask yourself - why this? Why Tarot and the mystical arts? Why 'bother' to know more about the mystery of Tarot, Astrology, ancient viewpoints and mystical realms? What difference does it make to one's life? You might ask yourself the same thing if you watch reality TV or past times that bring joy or entertainment. What we study is subliminal. What we seek is the deeper meaning from life and our connection to it. It gives us a unique perspective. That is life. You can't expect a Tarot reading to transform your life or provide a silver bullet. It can offer a prediction or a mirror. These experiences enrich our lives to support curiosity, wonder and faith in the universal laws. I am no different to others who have experienced loss, rejection, poor treatment and adversity. It's still happening. But we continue. We continue to show up, do the work and as a friend said to me yesterday, trust. Trust that whatever is happening, it's happening for a reason - they say rejection is spirit's protection. So at the time, it is hard. At the time, it's hurtful. At the time you're out of gas. Allow these things to happen because you can't control the outer world. What you can do is choose to engage with the positive aspects of it. Other like minded souls, people who respect you, a beautiful day, the meal you just enjoyed and a comfortable home. So when we cross examine a Tarot reading or Astrology chart, we can see patterns, potential outcomes and in one way have fun with life. Make it not your absolute, but a lens that is kaleidoscopic. See all the colours, refractions and immerse yourself in the mysteries.

I've always been drawn to the mystical side of life. I have a Stellium in the 8th House in Aquarius. So I understand how science and spirituality and magick are all basically the same thing. I continue to learn how I can manipulate spiritual energy to improve my life. I find the Rider-Waite Tarot to be a tool that allows me to tap into the unseen force. I'm now able to get the Tarot to bend at my will. Instead of pulling cards to see how others feel about me, or to gain clarity about something beyond my control, I tell the cards what I want to manifest. And then I have them show me that my wish has been granted. This is shown when I draw the perfect card (or cards) that convey to me the answer I was hoping for. In that instant, when I pull the perfect card (or cards), is when I feel a spark go off within me. This feeling lets me know my wish came true. The secret to manifesting that wish is to never tell anyone about this spiritual experience and practice. Only after the wish becomes a reality is when you're allowed to share your story and experience with others. Even then, it is advised to only share with those who you know will react in a positive way.
Last Days of Aquarius Season - 7 of Swords
As we approach the ending of Aquarius season, I wanted to share this post from friend and author @Grant Isaac Asay who always has a unique perspective on Tarot. This is a link to his post regarding this card and I encourage you to sign up for his community also! https://www.skool.com/grant-isaac-tarot-1947/the-7-of-swords-the-symbolism-youre-missing?p=564db844 I too have been avoiding the 'deception' energy of this card or 'cheater' etc. Yellow I have taught in the past as a connection to the colour of Judas' robe when he betrayed Jesus as a link to a Christian reference - Giotto's The Kiss of Judas (1304-06) pictured below. However the card is Moon in Aquarius (moon being shadow or about to be enlightened) and Aquarius symbolising the future or visionary. So this to me is always a person taking knowledge and re-purposing it. It's not always 'bad' or untrustworthy. As Grant says, sometimes the knowledge isn't landing where it should or the audience is not ready to receive it. Thoughts?

Thanks for the mention, Renee! I do see this Moroccan man as a more spiritually aware person: progressive, free thinker. He feels somewhat suffocated because he’s unable to express his thoughts freely, because he’s in the company of strict religious people. The Fez hat he wears is a symbol of spiritual devotion, and signifies he’s on the righteous path. So, why would he steal swords? Swords represent thoughts, ideas, and how we communicate with the spirit. Therefore, he’s depicted here running away with his thoughts. He holds two swords in his right hand just as if he’s holding an ink pen. This shows us that he finds it better or even freeing to express his ideas when he writes them down as opposed to speaking his mind to the Islamic sect, who most likely shut down his progressive ideas. So, for me, when I draw this card it regards writing as opposed to speaking. It suggests communication via text messaging, email…..etc. Or advises to write your ideas down, such as a blog, books, or something similar.

So I ask the Tarot what does the collective need to know this week? And this guy appears. Normally I read him as Libra, (Cardinal Air) as well as Master of the element (Air - Mind) so he is a mastermind. Librans are intellectual, high achieving and usually like to be in control of decision making - even though the decision process can be pain-staking. Are there decisions you're having to make this week that are in alignment with this energy? Do you have to sign an important document? Libran energy also being connected to legal matters, contracts and binding agreements that are significant. Whatever that might be for you the end game is balance and harmony. You're wanting to use the sword to discern. Understand that tough calls are usually required for change. If you're tired of feeling that something is unresolved or needs your attention, perhaps this is the week to address it? There is a much deeper connection to the butterfly as well and it's position on the card. Can you guess what it is? Drop a comment and share your thoughts if you will.
