@Tyler Nutsch Welcome to the BOS!
This is Disturbing!!!
I’m not going to throw anyone under the bus, but a brother reached out to me directly and said he was tired of certain posts and certain people. He asked me how I could keep engaging with a particular brother and even suggested I should boycott that person’s posts. I ignored the message, but I want to say this publicly: This is a Brotherhood of Scent, not a gang. I am not here for followers, I am here to exchange opinions and knowledge. If I want followers, I can start a YouTube Channel !!! I’m not participating in cliques, group pressure, or ganging up on individuals. I’m here for one reason only: the shared love of fragrance. Looking around, it’s obvious there is sometimes an “us against them” mentality here, and it’s a shame. You can see it in the posts, the comments, the likes, the alliances, and the way some people purposely ignore others. It happens to me, it happens to others, and it happens more than some people want to admit. It's even more ironic that the person who reached out to me is one of the biggest offenders. I can’t tell people how to think, but if this is your mentality, you may want to re-examine your values. I will engage with anyone here, whether I agree with them or not. If someone disagrees with me, I’ll either re-examine my own point of view or I’ll respond respectfully. That is how discussion is supposed to work. As the saying goes, you like what you like. In my world, I’m always searching for the very best, whether that means the best clone, the best niche, or the best designer. That’s how I enjoy this hobby. Differences of opinion are not a problem for me. They are welcomed, respected, and worth exploring. A lot of times, hearing a different perspective has taught me something valuable or even changed my direction. I would much rather someone challenge my fragrance selections or disagree with me in a real way that helps me grow my collection! rather than just being a yes man. If you give me input, or I give you input, and it goes against either one of our opinions—whether it is about quality, value, or fragrance selection—it is welcomed. My response is not going to be hurt feelings. My response is going to be: " Why do you feel that way? You are not going to hurt my feelings. Either the conversation helps me grow my fragrance knowledge, or I stay the course because it is simply something I want to do. Either way, it is not going to make me lose sleep, and it is definitely not going to make me lose interest in the group.

@Sean Kavanaugh I’ve seen it too. I think we both got into this around the same time. Sad state of affairs.

Fragrance haul of the Century?!?!
Could this be the “fragrance haul” of the Century? Not because of the number of fragrances, but for the price! So about 2 weeks ago a guy at work said “man you always smell good!” What would you recommend for me? I only have Acqua Di Gio and D&G Light Blue but I want some more. So of course I told him about fragrance discounters and he asked me to some to his cart that I would recommend. I added 5 and he bought 3. He bought Creed Silver Mountain Water, JPG Le Beau Le Parfum and Paco Rabanne 1 Million. I was trying to think of mass appeal and ease him into niche with the Creed. So this guy comes in today and says “man I don’t really like any of them, since you like them would you want to buy them off of me?” I asked what he was looking to get out of them and I was stunned by his answer. He said to give him $80 and come pick them up. So I said you want $80 each or $80 for all of them? $80 for all of them! That is absolutely insane to me and I gave him the $80 before he had a chance to change his mind! 😁 this has to be the best buy ive ever ran across!

@Justin Tillery that’s better than the lottery.
Mancera red tobacco vs red tobacco intense
Ok. So I now have a travel spray of each of these. ( Two intense by mistake.) And I decided to do a side by side.. Neither will be a full bottle but, but I can kinda see the appeal. The intense is synthetic, but more photorealistic on the tobacco and actually smells a Little more like an ashtray off the Rio than the OG. The OG is much more synthetic overall and stays that way ( also a little bit sweeter ) where the intense version gets a nice, rich, smoky feel afterwards instead of the sweetness from the OG. It's a bit more balanced and less offensive off the rip, bit I'm glad I didn't purchase a full bottle of either lol. Do you have any experience with these fragrances?

@Mark DiCiero I also found the ‘intense’ to be less so. I felt it’s more polished. I prefer the OG.

I have a FB of the OG and a decant of the Intense. Subtle differences but the original is better IMO. I’ve never gotten that ‘ashtray’ scent. You must be around some nice smelling ashtrays.

Haven’t reached for this underutilized gem. Very grassy open. Really nice warm, woody dry down. Sticks around for quite some time with a pleasant musky, powdery aura. The cannabis note in this is not the typical note everyone is familiar with or offended by. It presents itself as the raw, unharvested plant in its natural state. The fragrance is presented as an interpretation of the Kush region. In my opinion, a great, misunderstood frag.

@Edin Huric will do. Thanks for the heads up. Mancera does good stuff.

I got 4 compliments today. I was told I smelled like fresh fields.(?) I don't spray heavy. It's a bubble for me but I guess I projected well today. I think it's pretty tame by Mancera standards.
