Drop your About page headline
Struggling to explain what your Skool is actually about? Drop your current About page headline / first line below and I’ll tell you: 1. Is it clear WHO it’s for? 2. Is the outcome SPECIFIC enough? 3. Would I keep reading? Your first line needs to answer: “Is this for me, and why should I even care?” If it doesn’t do that quickly, people click away before they even see what's INSIDE your community.

You've got 15 responses to this one and counting, @Elise Hodge. Whew, that's a big bite to chew through. Would you like us to also comment on other people's lines? Feedback from ordinary users can also help us see our work more clearly.

@Elise Hodge Ugh, back to the drawing board. Thank you, though. That's exactly the kind of feedback many of us need. Hard to see one's own work clearly. Need that outside perspective to shake up our senses.

I’m trying to figure out how to best organise our new Skool 101 & template library. Could you please vote on what makes the most sense to you? P.S. see the attached pic for context! P.P.S. Quick question!
What's the ONE thing you find yourself writing (or needing to write) over and over again for your Skool? Posts? Welcome DM? Your About page? Something else? Drop it below... I'm creating something and I want to make sure it's ACTUALLY helpful! 🥰

I've already rewritten my About page several times, making it tighter each time. (Your template, paired with Claude, was phenomenal. Thank you!) Currently in post-strategizing mode. Again, Claude is helping to build a system that makes the work faster and more strategic. Any insights you'd care to provide, though, would be welcome.

@Elise Hodge No idea what to ask for at this particular moment. I just fed Claude a CSV file of all my posts and comments since I've launched the community. It gave me an analysis of what sparks engagement versus what doesn't, then helped me come up with a content schedule so that I'm able to post more of what people like (and less of what they don't) without turning myself into a content farm. If growing a Skool community were like sustainable agriculture, that's what I'm aiming for.
Lost my flame! Here's what I'm feeling
Relieved! Weirdly, yes, relieved. While I do like having a little flame next to my name (it's fun, OK). I actually felt a sense of relief when I just noticed (like 5mins ago) that I lost it yesterday. 2 activities short. But I feel happy because when I look back on yesterday, I was... - with my kids - watching a fun show with my husband - cooking a delicious dinner - literally not thinking about making sure I hit "10 activities for the day" This may not mean anything to many people. But I don't actually work every single day, at the moment. I have 3 kids under 4. Life is pretty unpredictable. And I'm in a mix of mum & work mode a lot of the time. So it feels kind of... nice... to lose the flame. Now I don't have any weird pressure to keep it up. I'm sure I'll get competitive again (with myself, lol) and try to get it back. But for now, I'm good. 😅 Curious: Have you ever got the flame then lost it?

I'm on my third time earning the flame. Life happens. Kind of grateful that I've lost it several times. Each time, I've improved the systems I use to keep my work/life balance in a happy middle.
