4/18/2026 Irish Road Bowling
Today I went road bowling ar Deer Creek State Park in Fayetteville County Ohio. We only got these two photos today as it started to rain part way through and Robin did not want to expose the electronics to the weather. Even with therain we had nice weather for roadbulling. I tried to dress in the spirit of the event with a fed henly with grey breeches and a brown Irish tweed waistcoat. With the breeches, I choose red argyle socks and some wingtip walking shoes. I also had on a brown linen cap and an Austin Accents Cowboy tie. One nice thing about today’s outfit was the waistcoat shedded the rain nicely. My team today finished in the middle of the pack but we enjoyed ourselves.

Third Sunday of Easter
AND confirmation this afternoon. I actually had this suit tailored about 14 years ago after I lost about 40 pounds. This is the suit that got a hole in the trouser legs when I slipped back in February. Tailor did a pretty good job, you don’t notice it if you don’t look for it…🙄 in all seriousness, she saved one of my favorite pieces.

4/19/2026 Good Shepherd Sunday
The third Sunday in Easter is also known as Good Shepherd Sunday. And what better way to celebrate than wearing a wool based outfit. Okay, I could have wore shepherds check. Anyway, as it was a bit cooler today I decided I would wear my Harris Tweed Austrian sports coat with my Brooks Brothers wool flannel trousers and my Stetson wool felt Temple Fedora. With it I have on the blue Winchester shirt, rhe blue tie with the pattern based on a brace of Geaoge Washington’s flintlocks, a blue pocket square, dark argyle socks and my Allen Edmund’s Fith Avenue Oxfords. Finally, the curr links nicely work with colors in the tweed of the jacket. I am writing this up as I get ready to eat lunch after service and before head over to the Shamrock Club for the election of new board members and Secretary and then a general meeting if the club.

@James Hunter welcome. Yes the dress for worship has really fallen from when we were kids. All we can do now is set a good example. I now have a small group of young men at church following me example and upping their game.
