Article on the Literature Review
Greetings everyone, I just published an article on LinkedIn entitled 'On the Literature Review: Towards a First Scholarly Contribution'. Tomorrow's Doctoral Colloquium will be based on this article. Do have a read over it when you have a moment and be sure to like and share it. Here is the link to the article: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/literature-review-towards-first-scholarly-ryan-j-s-kotowski-obyre Feel free to chime in here on or LinkedIn with your thoughts on it.
Hi, Ryan! I’ve started reading this article, and I like it. So far, it makes perfect sense to me. It immediately made me think of something I posted on Facebook a week ago using two songs to explain what a seminal work is and why it is important to know about it. The two songs I used were “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar and “If This World Were Mine” by Luther Vandross. Honestly, that’s how I started preparing to work on a doctoral degree. I study music lyrics, which is really nothing more than a sound literature review with sound. 🥁🤣 See what I did there? Anyway, to your point, when we know where it came from it is so much fun to see where it’s gotten.
I'm New to the Community
Hi, everyone! My name is Lakievia "Lucky" Johnson. Feel free to call me Lakievia or Lucky because I answer to both (use the name easier for you to say and remember). Thanks for having me in the community. I am a doctoral candidate at Liberty University, and I am finishing the Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree. In my program, there are four courses we have to take as doctoral candidates: BMAL887, BMAL888, BMAL889, and BMAL890, which are all semester long courses, and I just started BMAL888 this month. In this course, one of the biggest tasks to complete is the literature review, so I am working on that now. I look forward to being a resource, collecting resources, and learning, growing, and connecting with all of you. Much Success!
@James Watkins Good Morning! The LU Send page is back up, so I took a look at some of their trips last night. I would love to cruise, but I didn’t see that. I did see some of their trips last short trips, and saw some I am interested in, but I’ll have to dig a little more to find out which ones I can take for educational enrichment in my program.
@James Watkins Oh wow! I would like to take a trip just for enrichment. Now that I am in 888, I don’t need any additional credits. I am wondering if I can just go, especially since tuition is already paid. Also, I am curious to know what the workload will be because I can work my full time job abroad and I already have this work to do with BMAL888. So, ideally, I just want to take the trip with a group of other people, so it’s safer for me. Otherwise, I will travel out of the country alone.
Prime Disseration Weather
Greetings everyone, Here's a little winter vibes for you. I have to say snowy Baltimore doesn't look half bad. Perfect weather to get some dissertation work done. If you opt to have a strong drink during your academic labours, I wouldn't hold it against you!
Prime Disseration Weather
We are expecting snow this weekend here in South Carolina, and I was actually just thinking that this is possibly the best semester to be in the literature phase of my Applied Doctoral Research Project because I don't want to be in the cold. 😂
