I’m Curious… Has This Happened to You?
Hi everyone! Welcome to all of our new members! I want to get a convo started 👀 What were you misdiagnosed with before realizing it was perimenopause/menopause?

Self Introduction
Hi! I am a 45-year-old RN turned Interior Designer, Wife, Mom of Three, ADHD Enthusiast, and Creative. My body hates sleep, loves inflammation, reacts to multiple foods (but allergy tests show nothing), has suspected Celiac disease (what I wouldn’t do to go to France and eat fresh baked bread every day), the more severe form of the MTHFR gene mutation, treatment resistant depression (for years), anxiety (for years), rheumatoid arthritis, fatigue,, brain fog, etc., etc. And I am an over-sharer (thanks, ADHD). I’m afraid of doing HRT because of the increased risk of cancer on an already shot immune system and the risk of DVT’s. I have a supplement regimen I follow that helps a lot with managing my inflammation but not enough for when I am really stressed. I dream (ha!) of not having to take trazodone for sleep (or any other rx med) and yes, I already take mag gly nightly. Life is tough, but I am tougher. I just need more help getting through this phase.

Hi Maureen! I’m really glad you shared all of this. That is a lot to be navigating at once. Also… the France + fresh bread dream? You are not alone in that one 🥖✨You’re definitely not “too complicated” and you’re not alone in this, even if it feels like it sometimes. We are always here for you! ❤️
Injectable hormones
I switched to injectable estrodiol and testosterone with oral micronized progesterone and the difference in symptom relief and how I feel in general is shocking. I was wearing multiple patches and trying so many other topicals and tablets ect and had to fight to get to this point. Ladies don’t be afraid of injections it can be a nigh and day difference 😳 two small pokes twice a week and I have my life back

This is so powerful, thank you so much for sharing this!!!🙌 The injection piece can feel intimidating at first, but hearing experiences like yours really helps take some of that fear away. So happy you’re feeling like you again 💛
Introduction
Hello- I’m a 52 yo from Vermont who was in TN with my soul mate living my life when I apparently experienced a sudden plummet of estrogen. I had very little warning but do know every single ‘light’ symptom leading up to it which took just over a month. Things I never expected or even knew were part of peri or meno. It sent me to the ED several times which included an over night stay but nothing was found except some common things like anemia AND electrolytes plummeting over night. I ended up having to come home to Vermont because I was convinced I was dying. My worst symptoms were adrenaline surges and staying awake for 3 days, constant fight or flight, frequenting the ED and demanding to see my specialists who were great. I saw my endo upon returning home and he told me almost immediately I was in estrogen withdrawal. So I started estrogen and am now in week 8 combined patch with one increase and started progesterone oral about a week and a half ago. Unsure if now I am getting too much estrogen but I’m tired and don’t want to keep going thru all Of these disturbing symptoms (dizziness, faintness, heavy body feeling, feelings of waning to pass out) mostly these are getting better but the brain fog and feeling strange have not completely gone away. My mom and sister breezed thru meno so I thought I’d be ok. This has been a journey that has made me frightened of everything and constant incessant health anxiety. I hope everyone here is learning and getting well again ♥️

Also, just to validate you, this experience can absolutely trigger a lot of health anxiety. When your body feels unpredictable, it makes total sense your brain is trying to protect you by staying on high alert. We are here for you! ❤️

New
Hello! New and introducing myself. I am Rebecca. 48, never married, no kids. I had my uterus removed at 37 after excruciating pain from 13 on, Endometriosis and other complications. Wonderful decision for me, as the pain stopped instantly, but now it's been hard knowing where I am in the menopause realm. I see my Dr and do blood work, etc...but it shows me within range and no menopause. I don't believe that based on bodily changes, emotions, etc...so to the internet I have come. Thankful for any nugget of info I can glean. 😊

Hi Rebecca!! Thanks for sharing! Most women in perimenopause/menopause do have their labs come back as "normal", but normal does not mean optimized for your body specifically. Everyone feels good at different levels!! We are always here for you ❤️
