Buy Low Sell High
Just a quick post There is a reason why you build a portfolio. Portfolio ensure that you diverisfy your risk. We all want everything to go up but in reality its not the case always. So than how do you design a portoflio A portfolio can be group of companies from different sectors or if you want further diversification than you can even create exposure in other asset class like Low Risk mutual fund or Gold I persoanlly would recommend to go multi asset and than try to rebalance your portoflio. I have explained this in detail in my video buy low sell high https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLifs0M4oAc&t=1s In my portfolio sazgar was 7.5% in size. Its current 24% down (excluding) dividend ... now if someone company is less than 10% exposure and down 24%. Beside this investment is in our company account and we do have low risk investment to cover our expense. You all need to run your investment in sama way, money you need in short term should be in low risk not high risk Hope this helps.
Confused....
I am in stock for almost 1 year but couldn't understand yet what to do. I am a long term investor, but after passing one year, I only have 2k profit on 350k investment. I am holding big names, What should I do? What to keep, when to purchase new or sell the down stocks? From where I can study the basics, any authentic and useful plateform? As in general browsing or youtube, it's very confusing to search the exact and useful inforamtion.

@Muhammad Saqib Abrar exactly. You need o zoom out and check results after a year. If you are not doing well better look for other options like etf or mutual fund which are doing better and its better to invest via them than manage personally
What's the WORST financial advice you've ever received?
Let's be real! We've all gotten "advice" from that one uncle, friend, or random Instagram guru that made absolutely zero sense in hindsight. Drop the worst financial advice someone gave you, bonus points if you actually followed it 💀 I'll start: "Investing in PSX is gambling, you will lose everything you invested!" Turned out, you can actually get financially free if you are disciplined in your investing. Tag someone who needs to see this post, before they take advice from their uncle again!

The worst financial advice I got I is to keep money in bank … stock mein paisa lose hi hota hai :)
You don't need to predict the market. You need a strategy that doesn't care what it does next.
Most investors spend their energy trying to guess which asset will outperform this year, stocks, gold, USD, mutual funds. The irony? The investors who consistently do well often aren't the best predictors. They're the best rebalancers. In our latest video, we take a Rs. 1 lakh portfolio split across stocks, mutual funds, gold, and USD, and show what happens when you simply rebalance it annually; selling a bit of what's up, buying a bit of what's down. No forecasting. No timing the top or bottom. Just discipline. We walk through how this portfolio actually performed across different market cycles in Pakistan, why annual rebalancing helps control risk without killing returns, and how Sarmaaya's tools make the whole process far less tedious than it sounds. If "buy low, sell high" has always sounded easier said than done, this video shows you a systematic way to actually do it. 🎥 Watch here: https://youtu.be/rLifs0M4oAc?si=ZLZWvIcw3Lb6EF-J Would you rebalance a portfolio like this, or do you prefer picking your own winners?
