I am from china and currently live in Qinhuangdao. I am new to the community and want to improve my listening skills.When watching dear Shane's lessons with subtitles, I find myself focusing on the text instead of the video.But without subtitles, I struggle to understand everything. What should I do? How can I improve step by step? I have noticed that when I hear a sentence and catch a specific word, I can’t translate it into Chinese quickly enough.This makes it hard to keep up with the listening speed, and I end up not understanding. In short, I am accustomed to relying on my visual comprehension to understand sentences, rarely using my listening skills for comprehension. Therefore, my hearing is getting worse and worse. This habit led to my last CET-6 exam where I scored 200 points on the reading section but only 90 points on the listening section.😥😭🥲
