Daily Challenge Day 1
Jan. 2, 2026 For the first day, I decided to do Algebra and Problem-Solving and Data Analysis. I did these categories specifically because of my score on the practice test I took on the 24th of December last year. My weakest points (by only one bar) were those two. Here are my results. Because there's no penalty for getting these wrong, AND you can read an explanation of it while doing the problem, it demotivates me way less whenever I get something wrong because now I have something that can just explain it to me without me feeling stupid. I really like that about OnePrep! Anyways, I don't know how long this took, but I spent about an hour, so I'll say each took about 35 minutes or a little less. That's way more time than they give you on the SAT, so I definitely need to speed up. (The last screenshot is there to prove that I did harder questions)

@John Hoegerl I completely forgot that was a requirement and removed it from my post because I thought it looked weird in the title... sorry lol

Just got back into Cuphead, but I think my all time favorite game is probably Sonic Adventure 2
Am I Stupid?
This is the ONLY question I got wrong on this score predictor PURELY because of THIS ONE THING. Can I read???? 💀💀💀

This wouldn't be the first time, either. I just finished a score predictor BEFORE this, and did ALL of the math and setup correct. And then I got the question wrong because I read my base incorrectly. I need to pick up a freaking book 😂✌️

LAST PERSON TO STOP STUDYING WINS $250 (new challenge)
As I mentioned in recent posts, consistency is the ONLY way to perform well on the SAT. So, I've got a new Mr. Beast-esque challenge for you: LAST PERSON TO STOP STUDYING WINS $250 Here's how it works: Starting January 2, 2026, anyone who wants to be part of the challenge must make posts titled, "Daily Challenge: XX/XX" where they post the 10 SAT problems (minimum) they completed for that day. The XX/XX should be the date, like 12/29. You don't have to screenshot EVERY problem, but there has to be SOME confirmation you actually did it. A great resource for finding additional practice problems is Aniko, by the way. Everyone in the challenge must make this post EVERY DAY. If you miss a day, you're out of the competition. We keep going until there's only one person standing. In Mr. Beast-fashion, however, I'll add new challenges at the end to make staying in as hard as possible. If genuinely two people are STILL in by March 1, I'll give both of them the prize (lol). To ensure we can actually, y'know, do this, I need to confirm you guys actually are up for it. So, if you want to be included in the challenge, comment "I'M IN" below so I can add you to the roster. I need at LEAST 10 people to join to make this happen. If we get fewer than that, I might have to cancel it.

PUT ME IN THE GAME, COACH!!
Practicing makes me feel dumb
Something that I've noticed about myself is that, whenever I get a practice problem wrong, it heavily demotivates me to keep going because I know I'm just going to get every succeeding question wrong, even if I don't. It's the little self-doubt in my brain from that ONE question that leads me to making so many more stupid mistakes, that it just intrinsically makes me look dumber than I am. That self-doubt also passes onto other parameters like decision-making, which makes it harder to trust my answer options even when I know I'm right, which will lead me to getting it wrong, and repeating, or often times reinforcing the cycle. I have to learn not to let getting things wrong bother me. I told myself that I probably shouldn't care about incorrect answers, but rather WHY I got them incorrect a long time ago. However, as a perfectionist, it does hurt to see a 4/5 or 9/10 on a Khan Academy practice quiz PURELY because I did something slightly wrong or just forgot to do it, or how to do it.

Either way, I got my studying in for the day, but as you can probably tell form this "vent," I don't really feel like I learned anything new. If anything, I feel like my skills depreciated. Maybe it's because it's the morning, and my comprehension skills tend to be worse in the morning. Maybe I should stretch or do some light exercise to prepare my body and brain a little bit so I don't feel so drained when I sit down and actually study.
