💡 Research Insight: Where the Best Conversations Happened
Today reminded me that not all engagement looks the same. Todd and I posted the same question in four promotion communities. We also continued a conversation in Skoolers. The difference was striking. The promotion communities gave us visibility. Skoolers gave us conversations. Some of the richest ideas we've collected this week didn't come from people responding to our posts. They came from people responding to one another. We saw community builders talk about: 💙Belonging over broadcasting. 💙Psychological safety. 💙Member-to-member support. 💙Creating a place that feels like home. 💙Knowing when a leader should step back and let members step forward. The biggest lesson for me today wasn't about where to post. It was about where meaningful conversations naturally emerge. That's changing how I think about community building. Instead of asking... "Where can I get the most engagement?" I'm starting to ask... "Where are people already having the conversations I want to be part of?" I think those are two very different questions. We're still learning. But today's conversations definitely moved our thinking forward. Question for you: Have you noticed a difference between places that create visibility and places that create genuine connection?

Boom! that's an important distinction to make and one I resonate with. Thanks for that seed.

@Lynne Vella thanks Lynne, yes I am in some relevant groups to help build like minded connections for sure.
Skool Live Calendar Options
Quick tip: Link calendar events to posts inside your community Most people stick with the default Skool Call option when setting up a calendar event. But scroll to the bottom and you'll find a (Link) field where you can connect the event to (any) post inside your community using the URL. Why this matters: if you're running a multi-day challenge or workshop (day 1, day 2, day 3…), members can land directly on that day's content straight from the notice at the top of your home page. It also serves as a reminder of what is being covered. Use it in place of — or alongside — pinning the post to the top of your community. Hope that helps! 🙌

interesting - so if you use it, does the live actually stream into the feed on that post??? Is that how it works?

@Todd Thornton ok thanks Todd, got it now.
Let's All Welcome Renee! 🎉
Everyone, say hi to @Renee Charles. Renee, you're here planning to start your own community, which is honestly the best time to walk through these doors, before the first decisions get made. You came in interested in the Coaching Resource Room and growth strategy, so you're already pointed at the right question: what actually works. We are all so glad you're here. 🤗

Welcome @Renee Charles
Let's Welcome Kerrie! 🎉
Everyone, say hi to @Kerrie Wearing. Kerrie, you help women align their relationship with inner authority, spirit, and wealth, which is some of the deepest work there is, and you're growing your own community, the Sacred and Sassy Collective, around exactly that. You came in curious about the top spiritual communities on Skool too, so you're in the right place to study what's working while you build. We're so glad you're here. Make yourself at home! ❤️
Let's Welcome Kerrie! 🎉

Welcome. Drop your one word.
Welcome, and we're so glad you're here. This is Skoolology, where we go inside Skool communities and break down what really makes them work, so you can build one people don't leave: no hype, and no affiliate links or commissions on the communities I review. If you're building a community and can't work out why people leave, if you're tired of guessing what works, or if you're brand new and want to learn how to do this right from the start, you're in the right place. Your first step takes about ten seconds. In the comments below, drop a single word. Your name, a word that drives you, a word for the community you want to build, anything at all. Just one. Here's the fun part: We'll take your word and make you a little something from it, just for you. So pick one that means something. Once it's in, here's your next stop: the Start Here course in the Classroom. It's a quick tour of how this place works and how we use it. After that, come say what you're working on in The Builder's Morning. We read every word dropped here, and I'll be in your replies soon. Welcome in. Donna & Todd Learn. Build. Lead.
