Just what to let you all know my activity will be down for a few days or weeks. Going in for major surgery tomorrow morning. Prayers are appreciated. I’ll still be reading post, just may not be posting!!!

Oh man, that’s the pitts!! Hopefully they will reschedule quickly. It wasn’t supposed to happen today for some reason, your guardian angel is keeping you safe. 😇

@Glenda Stratton prayers for excellent outcome and quick, uneventful recovery!
ATTN: New Members!
Ok, I have to ask, 35 new people suddenly signed up in the last 36 hours, a lot of you from Canada. And most of you seem to be beaders, which, surprisingly, is unusual. Where did you hear about the group!

@Tara Campbell so glad Linda’s getting the exposure for the group and her bead board! Both are AWESOME 🤩

Skelly Earrings
Well, I did these the other night. I saw a picture someone posted on line and fell in love. I printed out the picture and went to town. I am so sorry, I did not get the name of the person who designed them. I kinda messed up the first one, but the second is better. Jack, and his slightly misshapen brother, Fred. (Fred is on the left).

@Terry Mullen I think once in your ears, no one will see the difference. And most folks wouldn’t notice even side by side. Beaders have a sharper eye

@Ramona Paca wow! Cute!!
Using the word chart is a challenge
It’s 8 x 10 inches. 164 beads across. The pattern is on PlanBead. No matter how I print it, the graph is too small to see individual beads so I’m having to use the word chart. I don’t like it because you don’t know you’ve made a mistake till you get to the end and you’re 4 beads short. I like working from the graph because I can see the bead that’s supposed to be there. Any tips?

I don’t know if it helps, but when I have to do a word chart, I use a pencil to cross out the o ed I have completed, so I know where I am. Slow, but keeps me from skipping beads

I have been creating jewelry for over 20 years but self taught beading after being exposed to the beautiful Native beadwork.
