A nice pen wrap

I'm happy to announce the winner of the Summer Bead Challenge is ... @David Young !! Congratulations David! And Congratulations to all of the entrants, you all did a great job!

Maybe I just lack imagination but I liked the simplicity of the beads in the diamonds that don’t have a cabochon. I’m not crazy about the blue seed beads on the points but they matched the blue delicas perfectly. Note, the cabochons are blue but they can look purple or gold from the side.

I had a sudden inspiration to make 2 halves and sew them together. I have these cabochons that I bought on clearance that I want to put in the openings. Luckily I have 8 openings so I can do 4 then figure out something for the other 4. Next step is to check my bead stash to see what I have to work with. What are you working on?
