Today I start the recordings for my next CAL
I am learning the approaches for these modules and their associated demonstrations that work best for me. I did a CAL module for January and learned alot. For February I am putting into practice the things I've learned from the last. I'm sure each module will provide me with more insight and I'll just continue to grow along the way. Sidebar: @Leigh Rose I wrote the modules last night so recording started today. :-)

Yessss start messy and refine as you go, there’s always the option to go back and add a new video later once you have worked out your style and have more time available šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

🐶🧾Confidence comes AFTER the reps.
So this week: The 3 Reps Rule (Mon–Fri) - 1 rep: create - 1 rep: connect - 1 rep: convert (CTA/follow-up/link) What are your 3 reps today?

@Clare Goodall thats kinda the idea but this is more 3 things you can do each day for the week. So an example that would fit what you’ve written there would be: Rep 1 create: make a mock up for shop & share it in a post ā€œthis is how I make my mock ups for Etsyā€ Rep 2 connect: reply to 2 comments and send 1 dm ā€œhave you tried using a mock up of your product I have an example of mine here [insert link]ā€ Rep 3 convert: add pinned comment to the post ā€œif you’d like to learn how to do this on Canva book a 1:1ā€ On Tue you would start again with the 3 reps

@Clare Goodall no need for sorry always ask for clarification where it’s needed thats how learning that lets you implement happens 😸

Weird and sometimes gross things I see because of my cleaning business…
You may not know (because I don’t talk about it much) but I have a cleaning business, it’s run completely offline so I don’t post about it on my socials, when I do mention it I refer to it as ā€œthe day jobā€ because it requires me to leave the house & go to work 😹 Anyway here’s some random stuff thats happened over the last few months at just one of the guest houses I clean: Somebody has stolen all the plates, bowls and cups. Not a fancy set, mismatched random stuff and they took almost everything. Somebody used the bin as a toilet because the en suite bathroom was just too far away. Somebody pooped in the shower which is next to the toilet. Somebody used a pan to fill the dryer with hot water and then complained that their clothes weren’t washing and were stained by the washing powder. Somebody threw up in the bed and then remade it and left. What’s the point of this story? Running a business isn’t always glamorous, doesn’t have to involve online launches, social media or scale to make a million a month. If you’re running a product or in person service based business you are welcome here! Drop a comment and tell me what your business is šŸ’‹

@Melissa Steiner the things people do baffles me sometimes
Target Audience
Let’s talk about target audience, because this is where a lot of marketing starts to feel frustrating. Most people don’t actually have a consistency problem. They’re showing up, posting, talking about what they do. The real issue is that the message is landing in front of people who aren’t ready or aren’t the right fit, so it feels like you’re doing all this work and nothing’s coming back. When people hear ā€œknow your audience,ā€ they usually think demographics. Age, gender, location. That stuff matters a little, but it’s not what moves the needle. What really matters is understanding what your people are dealing with in their real life. What’s already bothering them. What they complain about casually. What they Google when no one’s watching. Most people don’t search for solutions, they search for symptoms. That’s why someone can read your content, nod along, and still not take action. You’re answering a question they haven’t asked yet. This is also why visibility alone doesn’t equal results. You can be seen by thousands of people and still feel invisible if the right people don’t recognize themselves in what you’re saying. Good marketing isn’t about convincing people they need you. It’s about making the right person feel like, ā€œOh… this is for me.ā€ When that happens, trust builds naturally and the education starts to land. A simple way to check this: when someone reads your post, do they feel seen? Or do they feel like they’re watching from the outside? If you get clear on who you’re really talking to, everything else, content, platforms, even consistency, gets easier. So, when you’re creating content, who do you picture reading it?

Grate points, another is to engage with your target audience, you know like be part of a community and not just pop in once in a while to post and ghost šŸ˜‰
