How to Make LinguaBlox
LinguaBLOX Template: https://bit.ly/LinguaBLOX-Canva Click the link. Click File -> Make a Copy. Then you can edit. In this video you will see: 1. How to use Canva to create LinguaBlox. 2. How LinguaBlox is not a study tool, but a creative process (a way to play). 3. How Verb Starting Points (VSPs) generate infinite conversation. 4. Why fluency is not a matter of knowing many words, but being able to generate fluency on a small scale first. Try it! @Fabio D'Oliveira and I are here to facilitate this Infinite Game.

Welcome to LinguaBLOX.
Welcomeeeee in all new 19 members (past 30d) to the home of instant conversation in any language. No memorizing here, you just start speaking. The Matrix Method taught here breaks every language into simple, repeatable “blocks” that let you create sentences from day one. This group is run by @Tony Marsh (Military linguist with 20 yrs experience) and @Fabio D'Oliveira (Top dog when it comes to portugese) There are courses like the 20Q Challenges for Spanish, French, Mandarin, and more. Each one gets you thinking and speaking through questions, not drills. Every question you answer adds another “block” to your fluency. What Next? 1. Go to Classroom → Choose a 20Q course. 2. Read through it and do your first practice session. 3. Post your first “I’m learning [language]” message in the community. What languages do you already know, or looking to learn? @Julian Mignott @Thomas van Rijt @Jacopo Sestili @Anna Aguilar @Michał Bogacz @Fy Craft @Romain Ob @Matthew Closson @Tosi Honsi @Ugesh Gurung @Elijah Lewis @Christopher Lewis @Al Ferri @Mark Dandeneau@Dina Jiesisibieke @Tana Babcock Walsh Drop your qustions, share your answers, ask for feedback, or get quick help from Tony and other learners. You’ll see progress fast once you start using the language. Don’t just study—speak.

@Aaron Gold Good question! I never really tracked it. German is relatively easy to pick up if you speak Dutch, and English is our second language here. Movies aren’t dubbed, so that definitely helps. What I do experience though, is that every time it gets a bit easier to create hooks to connect new stuff to. By the way, very interesting language: Yoruba. Will look into that one, just to know a little bit more about it!

@Jack Mason Hi Jack! Thanks for sharing that. I’m really happy to hear you had such a good experience in Groningen. Funny thing is, I’ve only been there once myself, which I’m a bit embarrassed to admit 😅 It’s actually quite far from where I live (in Dutch terms at least!). I’m based in the Randstad, the urban area in the west of the country that includes cities like The Hague and Rotterdam. Funny you mention the bikes, it’s true, we Dutch take cycling to another level. We actually do have more bicycles than people here! 😄 And great thing about Spanish, it’s a wonderful language. Your background in French might help you along the way, and if you can practice it regularly with people around you, that’s a huge advantage. If you ever get curious about a few Dutch words or phrases, feel free to ask, I’d be happy to explain!
What times work for you for Practice Groups?
Please consider all times in Chicago time. A comment saying what language(s) you would attend would be nice too.
