@Julie Findleton Looking forward to the class. I may not have the machines I need yet, but I would like to see how it’s done.
Winding yarn
This is a photo of a Caron Blossom Cake. A favourite yarn of mine. It is easy to find the centre pull so I decided not to wind it into cakes. Yesterday I picked up the ball to move it and several of the outer layers came off in my hands. Now I have to wind it so it doesn’t become more of a mess. I will wind all my yarn in the future no matter what.

@Paul Brown It’s frustrating when that happens— for sure and a half! Weirdly, it happened a few days ago with a cake that I’d already wound. It was bad enough I finally had to cut it from the machine to finish untangling it.

That’s the weird part. It didn’t look that bad. It was still loosely tangled so I thought I could eventually get it loose. But I reached a point where I would have had to move the knitting machine through a huge loop and decided to snip the yarn and finish the untangling. Then I tied a knot and resumed knitting. Fortunately, it was a project I was experimenting with, so the splice didn’t really matter.
Oops!
I found another box of yarn behind the sofa!!
