This is one of the cleanest lead signals I’ve ever used. Every day, my inbox fills up with bad cold emails. Wrong setup. Poor deliverability. No awareness. I don’t delete them because they are my signal. 👇 People who are sending cold emails but landing in spam. I don’t chase random prospects. I don’t pitch people who don’t know they have a problem. I go after people who are already trying… and failing. So I scrape my spam folder every minute, and then I email them back, with this energy: “Hey, your email landed in spam. Here’s why. And here’s how to fix it.” That’s it. No convincing. No educating them on why cold email matters. They already believe in it; they’re literally using it. How to Launch a Cold Email Campaign (Without Overcomplicating It)
Campaigns fail because people jump straight into sending emails. Don’t do that. Follow this simple order 👇 1️⃣ Setup If this is wrong, nothing else matters. ✔ Clean domains ✔ Proper DNS (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) ✔ Inbox warm-up always running (warm up for at least 2 weeks before starting outreach) ✔ Low daily sends per inbox 2️⃣ Targeting Who You Email Matters More Than What You Say. Great copy won’t fix bad targeting. ✔ Clear ICP (industry, size, role) ✔ One pain point per campaign ✔ Verified, clean leads only 3️⃣ Messaging Simple > Clever Short emails win. ✔ 2-3 sentences max ✔ One clear problem ✔ One clear CTA No pitch decks. No paragraphs. Just start a conversation. Golden Rule: If setup is weak → emails land in spam If targeting is weak → no replies If messaging is weak → no meetings Fix in this order. Always. Since things slow down this week, I figured I’d share something practical - no pitch, no pressure. This is the exact campaign structure I use across almost every outbound setup, including the ones scaling toward 10,000 emails/day. Nothing fancy. Just what consistently works. Follow-ups (this is where most people mess up) Based on real data, most conversions happen after 3-5 touchpoints over 2-3 weeks. Not: • 2 emails in 12 days • 10 emails in 5 days The sequence that keeps showing up across industries looks like this: Email 1: Text only. No links. No tracking. Emails 2-5: Short follow-ups. One link max. Timing: Business hours in the prospect’s timezone. That’s it. This simple structure runs behind almost every campaign I launch. Reply management (equally important) I stick to three rules here: • Don’t forward replies to another inbox - it hurts deliverability • Use saved snippets to reply fast (speed matters more than perfection) • Tag interested leads immediately (tools like Instantly handle this well) And one thing I learned the hard way: set all of this up early. Trying to organize replies after volume ramps up gets messy fast. Christmas week is a good time to clean this up - before January traffic hits.
