Day 42 - Framing Inspection!
Passing inspection in The Marines was always an entire show. I mean the preparation, the long hours, the constant pressure, rehearsing questions, thing after thing after thing that it never felt like you could possibly be 100% ready. I once was told to take a toothbrush to the concrete landing outside of a door until there was no dirt on the concrete pad! Details matter people. The DETAILS MATTER! Anywho. We've PASSED the framing inspection. Here are a couple of notes. - Each side is it's own Permit, therefore you have to call for TWO inspections every time - If your job site looks sloppy and unkept, the inspectors think the work was done in a sloppy fashion - If it's your first or second, you are highly encouraged to walk the property with the framer, set of plans, in-hand. Ask whatever you don't understand. Next steps: - Insulation has already been scheduled and triple confirmed for tomorrow, Wed 19 Mar 2025 - Insulation inspection has already been scheduled for Thur 20 Mar 2025 - I have sent the insulation guy a screenshot of the inspection being scheduled for Thursday so that he KNOWS he HAS TO FINISH it in ONE DAY. - Sheetrock is on order and scheduled for delivery for Thursday - Workers scheduled for installation on Friday B2R, Juan-
