PITCH HERE! "If I were you, I'd grow your business by doing THIS"
Happy Monday founders - now let's help each other grow! There are so many brilliant minds in this community, and I bet we can help each other massively with a tiny amount of effort. Inspired by @Matthew Burns, I made this post! As entrepreneurs, we juggle a LOT of hats. That means we often have a massive to-do list and are constantly "doing" things - but it's not necessarily the most effective things. So here's the game: 1. Write a one to two sentence description of your business. Who do you serve, and what do you help them do? 2. Share one spot where you're stuck OR where you're not sure what the most important task is in your business. 3. Comment on at least two other people's posts with one TACTICAL thing they can do to get past their bottleneck or prioritize their task list. Example in the comments. Let's all help each other grow!

@Bill Widmer Hah you and me both on the content train now. Have you considered doing a poll here? Given the volume of folks here I wager with the right kind of poll or survey you could learn a ton about what people consume, why, and potentially then learn from the strategies of those folks but with your own brilliance! This at least is my current plan...

This single ADHD mom CRUSHED it.
I had to give a shout out to one of our newest Accelerator members, @Amber Kay. Amber is a single mom of three kids. She's been surviving on a low-wage dog training job at a soulless company for the last few years, and something AMAZING happened to her last month: She quit her job and went full-time on her own dog training business. The best part? In her FIRST MONTH on her own as a business owner, she made $1,600 more than she would have working full-time at her job. Without working any harder... While working from home. Probably in her PJs most of the time. (Just a guess 😉) Very few people have inspired me as much as Amber has. She works harder than almost anyone I know, raising three kids on her own while working full-time and planning an exit to run her own company. Most businesses take 2-5 years to start profiting. Amber did it on MONTH ONE. If she can do it, so can you. Thanks for inspiring us, Amber 🙏 Wanna learn about how the Accelerator helped Amber hit this huge success? Drop a comment and like on this post! If we hit at least 50 comments, I'll see if I can convince Amber to do an interview with me on how she pulled off this incredible feat!

I adore Epic Spaceman. I've always loved science content that blends education and entertainment ever since Bill Nye back in the day. Epic Spaceman feels like the Chris Nolan version of that. 🤣 I feel like the first 5 seconds of this video is the best hook I've ever heard in my entire life hahaha https://youtu.be/7J_Ugp8ZB4E?si=URoCQZ9IBOMSXEpv
How I stay focused as an ADHD entrepreneur 🧠
I have built three separate six-figure companies, and sold one of them for $350k. I've been a solopreneur for over a decade. (Till this year, when I partnered up with the dope-ass human that is @Rex Loyer ) All the while, I've dealt with my ADHD constantly bombarding me with shiny objects, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, procrastination, perfectionism... you name it, I've probably faced it. Here's are the best ways I've found to stay focused as an ADHD entrepreneur: 1️⃣ Having a clear vision and goal that excites me and lights me up. Never have I been more successful in my life than when I knew exactly what I wanted and was obsessed with getting it. If you don't know what you want, start with what you DON'T want. Go from there. 2️⃣ Utilizing body-doubling and accountability. The most consistent and sure-fire way I've found to getting something done when I'm really struggling to focus, is to have someone work with me and hold me accountable. This is why we have our virtual eat the frog sessions every single weekday morning. Working on something together—even if you're working on entirely different things and aren't even in the same room—is a cheat code to getting an ADHD brain to focus on the task at hand. 3️⃣ Coming from a place of "get to" rather than "have to". My ADHD brain HATES doing things I "have to" do but don't WANT to do. Especially if that task is boring or tedious, or I don't see the WHY behind doing it. The secret I've found here is to change the narrative; I don't HAVE to do anything. I get to—that is, I choose to—do this thing because it supports me in my vision (point #1). If it is truly a "have to" or "should do" thing, I GET to re-assess whether this task is actually in greatest service of my vision for my life. If it is, I GET to either CHOOSE this task (turn it into a choice and a get to) or remove this task by delegating, automating, or choosing not to complete it.

@Bill Widmer I love brainfm! I have tinnitus so having beats helps a TON. I also use suno for the same purpose, and probably listened to the Social Network soundtrack a million times. 🤣 One thing that has worked unusually well for me is treating my focus like a community problem, not a personal willpower problem. How am I helping my community etc. So I run a daily “first 90 minutes” block where I pick one leverage task tied directly to a very specific 90-day outcome, write it in one sentence. If the task does not clearly move the 90-day outcome, it does not get to live in that block. And I set those up by working backwards. The interesting side effect is that it makes my brain care more about the “get to” work, because the win state is so concrete. By the time I exit that block, most of the silly little “shoulds” have already lost their grip. What I am still trying to refine is in your experience, how do you personally tell the difference between “I cannot focus because this is out of alignment” and “I cannot focus because this is the hard, boring edge of somestuff that is actually aligned / worth pushing on?”
