WINS 🔥
Just wrapped this week’s Accelerator call. Couple big wins: @Ryan Hollis is crankin’ – booked out 8 weeks, made his first equipment‑operator hire, and is getting off the machine and into sales/PM mode. Pulled $53k this month… I’m betting he blows past his $500k goal @Colby McArthur leveled up (again) – bought new iron (KX-040) and hired a Project Manager so he can stay locked in on quoting and closing. My money’s on him crossing $1M this year @Chris Vangsnes smashed 30 acres for $58k and captured some killer footage on the job Snow’s gone here in CO and we’re back to full-send season with a new 3‑man crew starting next week. Your turn: What’s ONE win from your week? Big or small, drop it in the comments so we can stack ’em up 🔥

@Austin Gray will do!
Contract rate
Met with a contractor today that does fire mitigation by hand (no machine). He wants to collaborate with us since he does not want to buy equipment. Trying to figure out a fair way to work together? He is also a general contractor. I was thinking of billing him with a 10% discount if he brings us in on a job. Does that seam reasonable?

Definitely don’t sell yourself short here! The only “fair” way to work with subcontractors is to charge full price so you can stay in business.
When did you KNOW it was time to hire?
For those running 1–3 machine land clearing operations: What were your numbers when you hired your first operator? • Revenue/month? • Jobs booked out how far? • Utilization %? • Cash buffer? Trying to reverse engineer the right timing instead of guessing.

Great question! It all comes back to knowing your numbers! labor, equipment, fuel, and overhead. Once I nailed those numbers I was able to go from $400k-$850K in 1 year with a little help from @Austin Gray and the coaching group. Highly recommend you join us on Saturdays.
Larger jobs??
New to the group here. I am beginning in month 2 of running a skid steer and mulcher. My mulcher can only handle to to 14" diameter trees. I've come across a few larger projects which would require larger equipment. What would you all do with those? These are 20-30 acre properties full of huge cedar trees.

That is huge that you already know where your best work is coming from in month 2. A lot of guys never figure that out. Now just pour everything into getting more of that exact customer. Market to it, price it confidently, and execute it consistently until your skid steer is booked solid and you are turning work away. How is your lead flow?

@Josh Grellner That’s great! Where is your biggest constraint right now? Happy to help however I can!
