@Sara Gly I played last year. It's kind of chaotic and the noise can be deafening but this year it's a mega dungeon crawl and so it's the perfect atmosphere
Greetings from me
So I saw this community thing I think on Instagram and decided to sign up for it. I live in the UK so probably won't be able to attend many US based events due to timescales and my pretty hectic work schedule. I'm currently running a homebrew D&D 2024 game with some friends where we started to create the world using The Quiet Year, we didn't get through the entirety of the creation process as a few people were not quite gelling with it but I took what we created and went ahead with it. I want to run a Pirate Borg game pretty soon for my friends YouTube channel (Explorers of Elsewhere), I've run some one shots for him in the past and it was great fun. In my spare time I act, do improv and run a comic (as in comic books) art festival.

Hi. Sounds like you've got a lot going on
Hello
Been running games for a long time. I'm not running anything right now, but I am planning a D&D game based on the Spanish colonization of the Americas. My favorite systems are D&D, Gurps, and Rifts.

Welcome!
RSVP: Join Us for a Free Open Table Session -1!
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeXvHKXbn0EnJ5rXN9UICsiyynvdAZOHW3AIhVItFEjajUkMA/viewform?usp=publish-editor On Wednesday, March 18th at 7:00 PM EST, we'll be running a collaborative world-building session for anyone interested! Learn how to kick off a proactive, emergent game by participating in the process, and set up the campaign for our West Marches game in the months to come. You can learn more about the upcoming campaign here, and you can RSVP for the collaborative event with the link at the top of this post. There's no player limit for this meeting, so no need to worry about if there's room. For those who can't make it, don't worry! We'll be putting up polls and bits of the process here this week, so you'll still be able to leave your mark on the setting before the game starts. Check in the Live Events channel each day, as we'll be covering the setting, factions, NPCs, and more. Please note that this will be recorded and posted in our classroom tab (and nowhere else!) as an example of the Session -1 process. If you're uncomfortable with this, you're still welcome to join us with your camera and/or mic off, via the chat in the event, and in the surveys we'll run this week. Also feel free to reach out to us if you'd like us to edit the video before uploading it. Can't wait to see you all there!

This is perfect! I'm looking for players for my own in person WM campaign. I'm using the D&D beyond module Hold Back the Dead as my initial adventure and the keep in that adventure will be the home base for the on going campaign. Here is the document I'm circulating to attract players. It has a brief summary of how WM works.
Last call to upgrade at the Founder's rate!
Hey GMs, we opened an optional paid tier for this community last week. The "Gold" premium membership includes: - Monthly workshop calls to talk about your game with Jonah/Tristan and other Gold members - Monthly "proactive packet" resources to drop into your game (enemies, locations, factions, loot) - Priority signup to the weekly proactive roleplaying-style games we run - More/better resources available in the classroom tab At midnight tonight (ET), we'll be closing the Founder's rate of $15/mo. and switching to our regular price of $29/mo. If you're on the fence about joining Gold, now is the time to act before the price increases. As a bonus, members who upgrade to Gold and choose the annual plan also get: - A signed copy of The Game Master's Handbook of Collaborative Campaign Design - Enrollment in an 8-week proactive roleplaying campaign overhaul workshop, which we will NOT be selling separately If Gold sounds interesting to you, you can read the full details here. You can also upgrade from that page (instructions at the bottom of the navigator). Whether or not this is for you, we're happy to have you here in the Lab and posting about your games! See you in there.

My name is Mark. I got back into playing D&D after a 35 year hiatus. Now I'm going from player to DM with a ton of over ambitious ideas!
