📰 AI News: Google Just Announced Plans to Put AI Data Centers in Orbit... And It's Not as Crazy as It Sounds
Google just revealed Project Suncatcher, a research moonshot to deploy solar-powered satellites equipped with TPU AI chips in space to scale machine learning compute beyond Earth's limitations. The company claims space-based data centers could be economically viable by the mid-2030s as launch costs drop, with solar panels producing up to 8 times more power than on Earth while generating energy nearly continuously. Two prototype satellites will launch by early 2027 to test whether Google's vision of orbital AI infrastructure is technically feasible, or just expensive science fiction. The announcement: On November 4, 2025, Google announced Project Suncatcher, a research initiative exploring space-based AI infrastructure through compact constellations of solar-powered satellites equipped with Google's Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) and connected via free-space optical links. The project envisions satellites operating in a dawn-dusk sun-synchronous low Earth orbit at approximately 650 km altitude, where solar panels would be exposed to near-constant sunlight and produce up to 8 times more power than terrestrial equivalents. Travis Beals, Senior Director of Google's Paradigms of Intelligence unit, stated the initiative addresses "where we can go to unlock AI's fullest potential." Google published a preprint research paper titled "Towards a future space-based, highly scalable AI infrastructure system design" detailing the technical approach and announced a partnership with Planet Labs to launch two prototype satellites by early 2027. What's happening: The proposed system consists of networked satellite constellations flying in extremely close formation, just hundreds of meters apart in clusters approximately 2 kilometers across. This proximity is essential because delivering data center-scale performance requires inter-satellite connections supporting tens of terabits per second, which demands received power levels thousands of times higher than conventional long-range deployments. Google has already achieved 800 Gbps each-way transmission (1.6 Tbps total) using a single transceiver pair in bench-scale demonstrations.

Thank you for sharing Ai teams mate or crews better word?
Do you think AI replaces creativity instead of enhancing it?
I believe, AI doesn’t steal inspiration it accelerates it. What matters is who uses it, how they ask, and why. What do you think?

Introduction
Hi everyone, I’m Aimée from 🇺🇸 🇵🇷 living abroad 🏧 — I’m a modern-day Renaissance woman and self-taught technologist who believes technology, when used with intention, can amplify what makes us most human. My career began in marketing, data, and fashion, where I learned the art of connection; how emotion drives decisions and how data and story together build trust. That foundation evolved into a global consulting career spanning 30+ countries and over two decades, guiding organizations and startups through digital transformation. My focus has always been the psychology of change and consumer behavior, empowering teams move from resistance to readiness with clarity and confidence. Alongside my work in strategy and tech, I’ve spent years teaching yoga, mindfulness, and wellness coaching, exploring how physiology, breath, and mindset influence performance and leadership. This dual path keeps me grounded and helps me integrate human awareness into every system I design. Over the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in AI, Web3, and blockchain, consulting and coaching at the intersection of innovation, psychology, and well-being. People often call me a Swiss Army knife or purple squirrel, by definition a polymath: a neurodiverse mind that connects patterns across disciplines. I blend neuroscience, strategy, and empathy to help even the most technophobic person fall in love with technology. Today, I help founders, coaches, and teams turn complexity into clarity so technology becomes a tool for expansion, not exhaustion. This new AI era is a mirror, it reflects how we think, create, and evolve. My mission is to help others use that reflection to build businesses and lives that are lighter, freer, and more aligned with purpose. ⚡️ Clarity first. Technology second.
