Speed Connection Meet Up London, Next Friday
Hello fellow coaches, hi Eddddddd! I'm hosting my first Speed Connection Event on Friday March 29th in Chelsea (7-9 PM)—an evening designed for entrepreneurs, founders, creatives, and deep thinkers who crave conversations that go beyond small talk. I'd love some coaches who crave a little in person connection to come if you're free. I know firsthand that traditional networking can feel forced or exhausting. As someone who identifies as introverted, ADHD, and bipolar, I get it—whether you have a label or not - if the thought of networking makes you cringe, this event is for you! This isn’t about collecting contacts—it’s about building a real community. You’ll meet people who may one day need your advice, your support, or your inspiration, and vice versa. Don’t save your generosity and talent only for those who can pay you or benefit you in the future—bring your gifts, offer them freely, and see how simply listening, helping, and inspiring others can transform lives. Sign up now: https://shorturl.at/rDlYX Pics of me making new friends (Natasha and Nicole) and sometimes even just basking in a person's glow quickly at a fantastic event with tickets gifted to me. A free glass of sparkly, VIP section, more info in link if it speaks to anyone - contact me via hellomovementintolife@gmail.com @thesupersensorysquad @theveganpattylady

Fear of Failing!
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone who is afraid of failing?

According to Simon Squibb, another successful businessman like Ed, the Japanese refer to failure as good luck...it is a sign of risk being taken and the more risk that is taken the more opportunities and good luck will be engineered/created...Success favours the brave and resilient! The more risk we take the more success will follow.....eventually.
Exact steps for Certification Process -UPDATED
Many have contacted me asking how to complete this process, so I thought I would lay it out here, step-by-step, in hopes it might help everyone. Ed has created a video outlining the steps, which I will summarize below https://www.skool.com/lifecoachcertificationfree/classroom/8ba4b069?md=023fc73b2bb14a25ba0bb47e14264f32. Here are THE STEPS: Send an email to 'Ed@championacademy.co.uk" containing the following: (since it is highly unlikely that you will be able to send your video via email due to size restrictions, I suggest creating a Google folder, adding these items there, and then sending the link to that folder). 1. A recording of ONE of your coaching sessions: (NOTE: This can be a video or audio - they are evaluating your coaching skills, which come through your language. There is no requirement on length - whether it's 30 minutes or 90 minutes does not matter). UPDATE: If your primary language is something OTHER than English, contact Ed's team at the email above to inquire if you can submit your coaching session in your native language. 2. A completed copy of the Coaching Assessment document (See attached) of your assessment of that coaching session. (NOTE: This is a SELF-ASSESSMENT where you assess the coaching session you are submitting. This requires NO ONE other than yourself. You submit this form, COMPLETED, with your coaching call.) 3. A completed Coaching Academy feedback form (See attached). 4. An acknowledgment that you have completed all the modules (They can check this behind the scenes so they already know if you did or did not complete them) 5. NOTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE SUBMITTED. Your completion of your "tasking" is accepted on an honor system - they trust you are doing it, and you do not need to submit it. - NOTE: Most videos are too long to send via email - for that reason, I created a Google folder containing all the above and sent them the link to that folder (with access rights) in the email. - The coaching Assessment document is an Excel spreadsheet where you rate how well YOU covered each of the steps outlined in the spreadsheet. This is your best guess at how well you did and what you can improve upon. I don't believe they are looking for perfection, as we are always improving our skills. - UPDATE: many have asked if you need to demonstrate ALL the distinctions covered in the Expert Coach training. I think that would be a challenge to do - based on the self-assessment form, these are the skills you DO need to be able to demonstrate: 1)Creates introduction that is focused and engages the client. 2) Poise and confidence. 3) Pacing of speech. 4) Conveys ideas with originality and clarity 5) Addresses short-term goals 6) Addresses long-term goals 7) Responds to questions

@Donna Spangler first of it WILL go through but if that ever happened you'd simply be given the opportunity to go again.... Ed believes in our capacity to learn so it's not just you get one shot and that's it. You'll do great I've no doubt.
Coaching Versus Selling
I’ve been listening to a lot of sales calls from the coaches in Clients On Automation recently… …and the common theme is that most coaches fail to make sales easily because they over coach. The old ways of thinking that giving VALUE and COACHING means the client will buy from you does not work! Most coaches don't know how to give great value AND have their clients buy consistently. Most coaches give great value BUT the client does not buy. Sound familiar? I know some don’t like the word “sales” – I get it! But the truth is, as a coach, selling your coaching is the best thing you can do for a client. Always remember… …in “sales” your intention should always be to help your client. That’s it! So sales is coaching. Your clients’ current way of thinking has put them in the current position they are in. So when you’re on a sales call, what you need to do is to help your client shift their thinking. If your client already knew what to do and how to do it, then they would already have the result. But, as a coach, you must understand the psychology of selling as a coach specifically… …or else you’ll go too deep into coaching and the client will not buy. Worse than that though… …the client will still have their problem! You will not be able to fix your client’s problem completely in a 60-minute session. If your client is going to fix their problem, they will need to buy your service. Transformation takes time and effort. They need your support to fix their problem. The worst thing you can do for a client in your sales call is to have them think that what you have discussed is enough for them to solve their problem. They will only go away and the problem will get worse. Therefore, YOU MUST NOT COACH ON THESE SESSIONS! You will still give high value in your sales call. Because of your sales call, the client will be able to understand their problem on a deeper level. They will be clear on the method they can take to get rid of their problem. They will know the path to take that will eradicate the problem.

Sales call. Thanks so much!
What would you do, apart from COO, to get speaking gigs...
Paid and unpaid.... because you know it would be fun, impactful and get eyes on your business? ...... Huge favour. Please show some love to my pitch with a heart on instagram as I am doing all kinds of things following my gutt to think how to get more money and clients flowing in! Useful post though on public speaking below this... All of my side hustles have been nearly wins...but NOT wins and I am steadfastly refusing to go back to a corporate reception job. I'm 51 now and broke and I still won't do it. Soooo...speaking gigs? What would you do. Bullet point it so my adhd brain can receive new data/ideas. Show me some love. Hope you are all thriving loves. ... Here's the words/wisdom words about my experience pitching and mucking up publicslly but the crowd loving it anyway....scroll down for the url. Thank yooo.....Hope this doesn't feel scammy and everyone's coaching practice is going well. Keep going loves. You got this!!! .... 60 seconds to find out we had to pitch, and then... we're off... Things I wish I'd known sooner... The first idea to wrap our heads around is this: Embrace imperfection and authenticity over getting things right or wrong. I make a ton of "mistakes in this pitch. But it's alive and engaging, and the crowd digs in. So this counts as a win. Your mission doesn't need you to present perfectly. It really doesn't. Please stop listening to people who tell you that you can't stutter and fail. Or flail. You can. And survive it. And chances are your "people" will respond to your powerful authenticity and that my dear friends include your nerves. Nerves are not to be shamed or controlled - they are to be enjoyed and leaned into! Know this is counterintuitive byt its true.. If you are a person who experience shyness, or you feel clumsy at times verbally or physically but you know you have a huge heart and vision that is capable of pulling you forwards into the next upgraded or expanded version of yourself. Let's talk. New signature programme being developed to help you enjoy being your passionate bad assed self out loud...regardless of nerves.
