🎉 New Templates Added to the Marketing Template Vault!
I've added a new set of Canva Bookmark Templates to the vault! You can customize these with your book covers, QR codes, website, free activities, email list, social media links, and more! Access the Template Vault: https://www.skool.com/author-growth-academy/classroom/a0c32880?md=5bb5dbb6ff11443c960db2eac17dbe23 They're great for book signings, school visits, library events, vendor fairs, and including in book orders. I also added a new version of the Review Request Card Template for authors with rectangular book covers 🙌 And this is just the beginning. I have SO many more templates planned (including the Instagram Book Launch templates, which are coming very, very soon!). 👉 If you'd like access to the Marketing Template Vault, 30+ training modules, weekly Office Hours with me, and the complete Author Growth Roadmap program, you can upgrade to Premium here: https://www.skool.com/author-growth-academy/plans

Thank you!!!
Words that look wrong to me!
So something to laugh about. Sometimes I'm writing and all of a sudden a word looks wrong to me. I think I've spelled it wrong. But when I think about it or look it up or ask my husband, I discover I've written it correctly! Does that ever happen to you? What words do you have the most difficulty with? "Their" is one I always think I've spelled it wrong. I also have a list of words I consistently misspell. Among is my most difficult word. For the reason of being Canadian and using the british spelling of words, I always want to add a U to it; it would then be spelled amoung. Which my wonderful husband always tells me is wrong. I also add extra e's to the end of some words. This goes back to my French heritage. It usually only happens when I'm using pen and paper, not very often when typing because the flow isn't there.

It depends on if I have a spell checker running while I'm writing. I tend to turn them off because they distract me from the actual writing. I can't stand to see the red or blue underlines. I feel compelled to go and fix whatever the error is.
From Small Town Markets to Washington, D.C.
This week I’m packing up and heading to Washington, D.C. with my newest children’s book, America 250 Years of Miracles. A year ago, I was just trying to figure out how to sell my first books at local markets. Since then, I’ve spent countless weekends at vendor events, bookstores, homeschool gatherings, farms, and community festivals meeting families face-to-face. One thing I’ve learned: books rarely sell themselves. The conversations matter. The relationships matter.Showing up consistently matters. Now I’m preparing to bring my books to a national event in our nation’s capital, and honestly, it still feels a little surreal. For those of you further along in your journey: What’s one opportunity you’ve had that made you stop and think, “I never imagined I’d be here”? I’d love to hear your story.

Congratulations! I hope you have a great time! I'm still beginning, too, so it would be nice to see what others who have more experience share with regards to your question.
First YouTube video
Well, I wouldn't have done this without @Harleigh Manske 's encouragement... I made a video about my America 250 book earlier today! I wasn't completely happy with the lighting, the audio is a little out of sync, and I need a better podcasting space LOL... but the message is delivered! I've had 9 views and one comment already! I recommend YouTube. Getting started was terrifying but turned out to be far easier than I thought. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGcqbkSTE0Q

Congratulations! I love the illustrations you shared. And how you explained everything about the process for this book. I'm so excited to be on your launch team.
