My EVC sentences 1031 Becky had been eating a lot to fill the void, and now she is just as she was last year—overweight and unhappy. So she decides to lose 30 kg and make it by next year. Meaning : She changed her career / she’s continuing photography ② Goes on to (is it possible to say?) → I guess it’s possible when it comes to “historical present” ③ when you change ‘fill the void’ to ‘make IT’ (what does this IT signifies ?) → success , the goal ④ everyday / every day → I missed it ! But, I got to know now,it’s ‘adverb phrase’ ⑤ “Where you’ve been? “ （why is the ‘ve’ cancelled ?) → ‘Ve’disappears because it's unstressed and between the sounds. ⑥ “GEORGE :We’ll have two slices and two grape sodas. MARIO : Oh, thanks. That’ll save us. JERRY :Alright, make it the large sodas. “ → It’s funny because two slices and two grape sodas would never save a tanking pizza shop. And Jerry piles on the sarcasm with, “Alright, make it the large sodas.” 😂 ⑦ “Perfect combination of Mountain Dew and mozzarella…just the right amount of grease on the joystick… → Yeah, as a former gamer, I totally get it.
