Sample libraries you use to compose trailer music.
I'm interested in what sample libraries you use to compose trailer music (besides signature sounds that you probably record yourself, or you use synths to create them)? Maybe you have some special patches that are your favorite and you use them most often?

@Aleksi Rautakorpi I'm a ThinkSpace Masters student and I'd say, How To Write Trailer Music is definitely a good place to start!
A first sync placement after 2 years (and a few Rise lifetime spots open)
A Rise member named Mike just posted this win inside the Rise community. Two years of writing for sync. First placement just landed, a track on a US golf show. The line at the end is what I keep coming back to: "Persistence pays off." That is the actual mechanic of sync. The track that gets picked is rarely your best one. It's the one in front of the right person on the right day, because you didn't stop sending. Mike took the lifetime spot in Rise because he kept showing up to the live calls and digging through the archive whenever he was stuck. The point of lifetime isn't access, it's that you stop having to think about it. A few Audio Artist Rise lifetime spots are open right now. If you want one, DM me and tell me where you're at.

Congratulations 🎊 Mike
Current mood
If you had to describe your current mood as a song title, what would it be? 🎧

Interesting question, I'm not very creative with titles. Tends to be track/project 14 or some random word that later on makes no sense😂. This morning I'm feeling quite 'settled within' so I guess that would be a title. Thanks for the new idea👍🏽
„Play it in“ vs Keyboard and Mouse
I would be really interested in how you guys normally compose a new Track. Do you normally Play all the parts in with the MIDI Keyboard or are you more of a „putting the notes in“ kind of person :D ? If you are playing all the parts in , how do you keep track of the Chord progression (making sure the notes fit into the current chord) ? I normally put the notes in with the mouse but really am trying to get better at the keyboard , as I think this would be a good boost to my productivity if I could play the parts in efficiently.

@Marcel Gruhn oh, I'm using Cubase 14 pro, I'll have to look for this feature. Will be super useful.
A solution for hearing loss!
Hey everyone, for ages I am looking for a solution to compensate hearing loss. My hearing loss in my right ear is pretty severe and I always had the idea of coming up with a plugin solution to compensate the hearing loss - at least in the DAW. I never found a good solution and never had time to develop something similar but now HEARS Perfection has been released. When you open the plugin you can start a hearing test and based on the results, it creates a frequency compensation curve for you. It obviously does not replace a full blown scientifically done hearing test but it gets sort of close. If you are interested, I attached the video here. If you are a subscriber of the Plugin Alliance subscription, you get it for free.

This is super interesting. As an audiologist it's good to see/ know that hearing loss is being considered in music production. Thanks for sharing
