What is your Candidate Operating System?
Try this prompt in you Chatbot ( I prefer Claude for this over ChatGPT) "Can you break this down according to my background skills, and ideal job or means of making money please: How the Candidate Operating System Works. The Candidate Operating System (C.OP.S.) is a job search strategy and brand-building framework designed to help candidates become "Need" candidates — those employers actively seek out and want to hire. Core Philosophy The system focuses on creating a high‑level, memorable professional brand that makes employers feel a need for you, rather than just being a "Nice" candidate who gets offers passively. It's about standing out in a crowded market and making employers want to hire you. Key Strategies 1. Unique Value Proposition (UVP) Instead of offering a broad range of skills, the C.OP.S. emphasizes 3–5 unique, memorable actions you've taken for companies. These actions are specific, impactful, and directly tied to the employer's current business mission. This "mental lane" helps decision‑makers remember and connect with your value. 2. 2. Bypassing Gatekeepers The approach encourages candidates to go directly to decision‑makers rather than relying on HR or recruiters. This can involve targeted outreach, social media engagement, or other direct communication methods to show value and initiate conversations. 3. 3. Controlling the Conversation By focusing on a few standout actions, you guide the interview process so employers ask questions about them. This keeps the conversation focused and gives you control over how your value is perceived. 4. 4. Building an Evergreen Brand The system aims to create a tribe of people who remember your unique value and will reach out when they need it. This long‑term brand presence ensures you're always in demand. 5. 5. Practical Tools & Resources The C.OP.S. offers consultation, referral programs, and employer‑sponsored initiatives, plus access to a book and webinars to help candidates implement the strategy." 6.

Sometimes one needs to make a transformation 🌪️🤩🌪️
@Leonard Irving was at a crossroads in his career. Selling life insurance was not turning out to be the path he thought it would be and it was not providing him with the level of life and job satisfaction he desired for the rest of his professional career. We sat down and discussed his passions and therefor came up with options. By opening up his mind to other options, destiny knocked on his door. Here is a post on LinkedIn regarding a catch up we had disusing what happened: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/teja-mcdaniel_how-i-coached-a-friend-in-a-career-pivot-activity-7435150767684157440-7vg6?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAALd_ioBH44URohXjkWieY_qu0WPgmdlqS8 LinkedIn has always rewarded people who engage with their website. 1. 1. If you comment on someone's LinkedIn post, it will start to navigate more views towards your profile by 3X. 2. 2. If you repost someone's LinkedIn post, it will start to navigate more views towards your profile by 4X. That's 7x more views towards your profile. That increases potential recruiters and hiring managers discovering you. You can apply all day for jobs. How is that working for you? If you missed any of the Thursday meetings, you are probably not even applying properly these days, as the game has changed. We meet every Thursday at 9 AM PT / 12 noon EST.

Not all recruiters are evil villains.. well some are, but not all 🤪
There are what I call true Talent Acquisition Artists. Some of these individuals are the likes of: @Cynthya Diaz @Luis Portillo @Leonard Waki @Sarah Tanzosch @Pat Riley @Adam Rowson Unfortunately, the greater majority are just awful. They are the ones who ghost candidates and leave candidates in non-communication limbo and just don't give all candidates respect, appreciation, transparency and fairness. AI has now replaced the lowest of recruiters. Some of the people I learned from have been @Adam Rowson and @Pat Riley Here is an article I reposted on LinkedIn. If you go to the article two and repost, two things will happen: According to LinkedIn 1. 1. You will increase viewership traffic to your profile 4x (four times) 2. 2. By reposting content that is relevant to you as a professional, the LinkedIn algorithms will as divert viewers who are both recruiters and potential hiring managers to your profile. Of course, you updated your resume and LinkedIn according to the video sessions in this community.
