One of the biggest lessons I've learned this week is that building an app isn't about adding more features... it's about figuring out what to leave out.
As we've worked through the 6DegreesApp blueprint, we've intentionally removed a LOT from Phase 1.
Not because those ideas aren't exciting, but because we want to prove the core concept first.
For now, we're setting aside things like:
β Flight deals
β Booking systems
β Business marketplaces
β Earnings dashboards
β Affiliate commissions
β Paid subscriptions
β Complex maps
β Social media integrations
Instead, we're focusing on one simple question:
"Who do I know here?"
Phase 1 of 6DegreesApp will focus on:
β
People Nearby
β
Recommendations Nearby
β
Trusted Connections
β
Trust Paths (Ashley β ---> ) β
Invitations
β
Intro Requests / Messaging
β
Privacy & Hideaway Mode
The goal is simple:
Can we help someone discover a trusted person or trusted recommendation through a mutual connection?
If we can prove that everything else can be built on top of it later.
Tomorrow I'll be uploading the updated prototype and developer package to begin getting development estimates. EEEEEEEK! π₯³
Thank you to every Founding Member who has contributed ideas, feedback, and encouragement. You're helping shape this from the ground up.
What's one feature you're MOST excited about seeing in Phase 1?
