Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
Jesus did not call us to simply work for Him, but to live in Him.
The word abide means to remain, dwell, stay connected, and make your home in.
Many believers spend their lives trying to produce fruit — peace, joy, wisdom, strength — but they do it through effort instead of connection. Jesus makes it clear in this passage: fruit is not produced by striving, but by abiding.
A branch does not struggle to produce grapes.
It simply stays connected to the vine.
When you stay connected to Jesus:
• Strength flows to you
• Wisdom flows to you
• Peace flows to you
• Love flows to you
The problem is not that we need to try harder.
The problem is that many of us have drifted from the vine.
Life gets busy.
Responsibilities pile up.
Our minds get filled with noise.
But the invitation of Jesus is simple:
“Come back and remain with Me.”
When you sit with Him, pray, worship, and meditate on His Word, your soul reconnects to the Source of life. From that place, transformation happens naturally.
Today is not about trying to become a better Christian.
Today is about staying close to Jesus.
Because when you abide in Him, He lives His life through you.
