This thing exploded!!
I'm so insanely thrilled with how well received this community has been.
Now I feel an enormous pressure to DELIVER and deliver BIG!
Here are my commitments to you:
𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥:
The goal of this community is to help bring people FREEDOM! I'll be digging into the mission, vision, and values much more deeply as we progress but I want everyone to buy in on the core mission, freedom for everyone involved in the entrepreneurial value chain:
- Freedom for YOU (the entrepreneur)
- Freedom for those who serve you (employees, vendors, contractors, etc.)
- Freedom for those you serve (family, friends, clients, customers, investors, partners, etc.)
𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀 𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍:
- Freedom should be FREE! This community will always be free and I will never allow it to be compromised by upsells (my own or someone else's).
- There will never be "pay to play" content, pitchy posts, or anything that would make you feel like a prey animal.
- I will always be 100% clear and transparent about any financial interest I may have in anything being presented and I will never make any affiliate offers of any kind.
𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖 𝘿𝙖𝙮:
- We're all busy. I have a portfolio of 15 companies, dozens of business partners, hundreds of employees. This is a confession, not a brag. I'm not saying that to posture, I just want you to know what the draws on my time look like so you never feel discouraged if I don't respond to a message or a comment.
- However, I am committed to spending at least one hour every business day in this community. Helping, serving, guiding, and (most importantly) learning! I want to learn from you too!
- I want to bring you actionable and relevant value, every. single. day.
𝘼𝙡𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙮:
- I don't know everything (obviously) and I'm going to make mistakes (lots of them). That's entrepreneurship.
- However, I am committed to never allowing that to be the end of the story. I promise to learn from mistakes, improve this community as we grow, and alchemize everything that happens, good or bad, to evolve this into a continuously bigger and better force for good.
- That means: I want to hear from you!! What ideas do you have? What could we do better? This community has a dedicated community manager, @Virginia Sarza who is committed to making sure she gathers this feedback for me so we can work together to make this something truly epic.
Those are my commitments to you.
Now, I need your commitments to this group. These three are non-negotiable:
𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧
- I love this word because it says so much in so little. For me, honor encompasses my most important values: Truth, Responsibility, Love. I expect this behavior of myself and of everyone in my community. Further: I expect to be held to that standard and lovingly called out if I ever falter, I commit to the same.
- I expect you to hold each other accountable to that level of participation as well. If you see someone acting in a way that falls below our minimum standard, let them know (privately and with kindness). One bad apple can ruin the bunch but very often people just need to be coached on what is appropriate.
- You're here to give, not to take. (Questions are “giving” by the way. In fact, the biggest gift in the learning world is an authentic and vulnerable question.) I have a strict no tolerance policy for people who are just here to take (pitch, prospect, sell, ego build, or whatever else folks do to try to sap value from a group).
𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥
- Another beautiful word that doubles as a powerful container. As a steward for this community, you're not just a community member, you're a protector, a guide, a participant, and (most important of all) a contributor.
- Every interaction should make the group stronger. Questions, insights, encouragement - all count as giving.
- Stewardship also requires that you leave "playing small" at the door. You can't be a good steward if you aren't willing to walk in your power. This is the biggest struggle for us all (myself included) and a muscle I'm excited for all of us to begin to exercise.
𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩
- I would rather have a fledgling, rookie, greenhorn, neophyte on my team than an extraordinarily talented, proven, successful, brilliant, grand master who wants to sit around resting on his/her laurels. Every damn time.
- It's fun now. It's new and shiny and exciting. It won't be fun a month from now. It'll look, smell, and feel like hard work. I need to know you're in it for the long haul.
- I'm going to do my damndest to bring every framework I possibly can (my own and other people's) to this community so you have the tools you need to achieve true freedom, for you and everyone in your entrepreneurial journey. I need you to be committed to using them and sticking with this process (more on that soon…)
Speaking especially of that last one, I need to know from the group:
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤?
Here’s the deal: I’ve got an idea for how we can start really moving the needle in your businesses and lives.
I want to build a framework for learning and execution that helps you take immediate action on what we discuss, so you start seeing results right away.
A year from now, I want you to look back and be blown away by the compounding effects and the equity you’ve built in yourself, your business, and this community.
But for me to design that, I need to know what you’re actually willing and able to commit. So, vote in the poll below. If you choose “Other,” drop a comment with your specifics.
I know I’m asking for a lot. You’re busy. You’ve got families, businesses, and a million demands on your time. But freedom requires commitment, and I need to know what that looks like for this group.
And if this doesn’t resonate, if it feels like too much, or if this just isn’t your thing, no hard feelings. Opt out with my blessing. I’d rather have a small, committed crew than a big, diluted crowd.
I’m fired up to take this journey with you.
I love you,
Kasim
