The GIVER Framework: How to Rise in Any Community Without Begging for Attention
There’s a skill I’ve quietly used my entire career that’s opened every major door in my professional life—and no one talks about it. It’s not paid traffic, delegation, or copywriting (though all those help). It’s something more foundational:
Being a world-class community participant.
Sounds soft? It’s not. It’s leverage in disguise.
Let me prove it to you:
✅ When I joined DigitalMarketer’s Certified Partner Program, I didn’t pitch, posture, or peacock. I just gave—high-value posts, insightful questions, genuine help. That led to guest webinars, podcast invites, and eventually, building DigitalMarketer’s Paid Traffic Certification, one of the biggest certifications in the world at the time.
✅ I did the same thing in War Room. I gave so much value that they invited me on Perpetual Traffic, one of the biggest marketing podcasts. I gave so much on that show that they made me a co-host for three years. That’s what made me nerd famous.
✅ That led to Perry Belcher inviting me to become co-owner of the Driven Mastermind.
✅ I’m now in Alex Hormozi’s $18K–$24K mastermind with 1,200 people. I’ve never pitched. I just post every day. High signal. Low ego. Pure give. I’m currently #2 on the leaderboard.
Coincidence? Not a chance.
Most people try to extract value from communities. I do the opposite. I inject value first—and the rewards show up later, quietly and massively.
That’s why I created a repeatable system that anyone can use to replicate this outcome:
🧠 The GIVER Framework: How to Become Irreplaceable in Any Community
Give. Invest. Voice. Elevate. Repeat.
1. 🧠 Give Before You’re Asked
Lead with value. Share what you know. Create detailed, useful posts. Don’t worry about being “original”—worry about being valuable.
Tactics:
  • Share frameworks, breakdowns, summaries, examples
  • Ask the “dumb” questions others are scared to ask
  • Provide answers before people even realize they needed them
⚠️ Bonus Tip: Document as you grow. The thing you learned yesterday? Someone else needs that today.
2. 💸 Invest Your Time Consistently
Show up daily. Comment. React. DM people helpful resources. Go to the events. Introduce yourself. You earn reputation through repetition.
Tactics:
  • Daily or weekly posts (your voice needs rhythm)
  • Respond to every comment, even short ones
  • Attend events and be present, not just “in attendance”
⚠️ Consistency beats virality. One post a day beats one viral post a month.
3. 📣 Voice Your Perspective with Courage
Say the thing that needs saying. Challenge ideas with respect. Add perspective. You’re not here to agree—you’re here to advance the conversation.
Tactics:
  • Be clear, bold, and concise
  • Challenge politely but directly
  • Add nuance instead of noise
⚠️ You earn authority by taking intellectual risks.
4. 🙌 Elevate Others Like a Leader Would
Shine the spotlight on others. Call out helpful comments. Tag contributors. Share other people’s wins. People remember how you made them feel.
Tactics:
  • “Shoutout” posts
  • “This post inspired me…”
  • Nominate others for leadership roles
⚠️ Be the person that builds platforms—not just climbs them.
5. 🔁 Repeat and Reinforce Your Greatest Hits
Resurface and refine your content. Refresh older posts. Follow up with additional insight. People are busy—repetition makes you memorable.
Tactics:
  • Add part 2s, recaps, upgrades
  • Reshare and update old content
  • Have a consistent CTA closing line (make it quote-worthy)
⚠️ Repetition = Reach. Consistency = Credibility.
💬 Your Signature Soundbite (Steal This)
You want people to know your content so well, they can quote the close. Here’s a closing I use almost every time:
“If this was useful, follow me so you don’t miss the next one. If you want me to go deeper on anything, drop a comment. And if you disagree, argue with me—civil debate sharpens us all.”
Make your version of this. Repeat it every time. Plant flags in the feed.
🚀 Final Word: Don’t Just Join a Community.
Build Inside It.
Everyone wants the perks—visibility, authority, deal flow.
But they skip the part where you become indispensable.
If you master the GIVER Framework, you’ll never have to pitch yourself again. Communities will promote you organically—because they can’t afford to lose you.
Let’s build better communities, one post at a time.
And if you’re already doing this—tag someone else who should be.
