✨ Own It, Systemize It, or Get It Off Your Plate ✨

In my last post, I shared how focus often slips not because of discipline ~ but because of alignment.

But alignment doesn’t mean you’ll love every single task in your business. Some things are dream work. Others are just the stuff that has to get done.

The key is deciding what’s yours to carry ~ and what needs a system or someone else to handle.

DO I NEED TO OWN THIS?

This is the work only you can do ~ the kind that shapes the future of the business.

Setting the vision and strategy that only you have the perspective to create
Leaning into your strengths and unique ways of problem-solving
Bringing creativity, leadership, or direction that can’t be replicated

If it drives the business forward in a way no one else could, it probably belongs to you.

CAN I SYSTEMIZE THIS?

If it’s repeatable, it deserves a process. Slowing down to create a system feels hard in the moment, but every single time I’ve done it I thank myself later. Once it’s captured in a template, checklist, or automation, the weight lifts and the work keeps moving without me.

DOES THIS NEED TO GET OFF MY PLATE?

Hiring and leading team is something I actually enjoy ~ but I’ll admit, I’ve sometimes hesitated. I used to think, “I’ll just do it myself and save money.” But in reality, that mindset always cost me more. Ironically, the times I invested before I felt ready were the exact unlocks that moved us forward.

and I used to laugh because when we first delegated overseas years ago, it felt like Christmas morning ~ waking up to so much done while we slept! Actually.. it still feels like that to this day 😋

The point isn’t to do everything yourself. It’s to put your energy where it matters most, and build leverage around the rest. That’s when focus flows ~ because your plate is filled with the work that actually aligns.
