Red Letter Quote #1 (KJV) — Matthew 7:7
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"
Jesus Speaks to His Brother:
Brother, I'm not asking you to be passive. I'm calling you to be bold—with the right heart. A lot of men don't ask because they've been trained to handle everything alone. You learned early: "Don't need anybody." "Don't show weakness." "Don't ask for help." But that mentality will starve your spirit.
I'm telling you: ask. Not like a beggar. Like a son. Because sons know the Father's character. They don't have to perform to be heard. They don't have to clean up first. They don't have to talk fancy. They just come.
Ask—because relationship is real. Seek—because purpose matters. Knock—because doors exist you won't walk through by accident.
But hear Me, brother: don't ask for things that keep you small. Don't ask for comfort when I'm forming courage. Don't ask for ease when I'm building endurance. Don't ask to avoid conflict when I'm teaching you how to stand.
Ask for wisdom. Ask for purity. Ask for strength. Ask for discipline. Ask for a clean heart. Ask for the ability to love your family well. Ask for the power to shut the door on sin.
And when you ask, stay at the door. Some of you knock once, then walk away. You read one verse, then quit. You try one day, then fold. Brother, keep knocking. Keep seeking. Keep showing up. Keep aligning your life with what you're asking for.
Because asking is not magic. Asking is partnership. You ask—and then you obey. You ask—and then you move. You ask—and then you practice what I put in front of you.
And don't let pride block you. Pride says, "I shouldn't have to ask." But humility asks. Humility seeks. Humility knocks. And humility receives.
So today, brother, ask Me for one specific thing you need—then live like you believe I heard you. That's faith. Ask. Seek. Knock. And watch how the Father meets a son who won't quit.
Red Letter Quote #2 (ASV) — Matthew 7:8
"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
