The quickest way to lose peace is to live like everything is equally urgent. You say yes to too much, chase every “good opportunity,” and end up scattered and exhausted. Underneath is a fear: “If I slow down or say no, I’ll miss out.”
Jesus lived with constant demands and still walked in peace. He only did what He saw the Father doing. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When the Kingdom is first, everything else finds its place—or falls off the list.
You don’t need a hundred priorities. You need a clear first. Out of that first love for God, you arrange your calendar and your energy.
Today, ask honestly: “What have I put ahead of God in my daily reality?” Then make one concrete shift—a canceled commitment, a carved-out prayer time, or a boundary around your phone.
Let’s pray together,
Lord, I’ve let lesser things crowd out what matters most. Show me where my priorities are out of order. I choose to seek Your Kingdom first. Help me reorder my time, work, and relationships around You, and fill my life with Your peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
