Most players focus on the ball… but the best players create advantages without touching it.
Here's some skills to consider:
  • Reading defenders & cutting at the right time
  • Using pace changes to get open
  • Setting meaningful screens (angle + timing)
  • Relocating (pass and move)
  • Filling lanes in transition
  • Creating spacing for teammates or balancing the floor
The next time you have a shift and don't touch the ball, ask yourself if you did any of these things, if you did, count your win.
