One question before the weekend: did you get the best out of yourself this week? I've been listening back to the Aspiration interview with Clayton Greene and one line stuck with me...
He said the biggest thing a leader can do is get the best out of their most important person (and usually that person is you).
When you do it lifts everyone around you. Your team/family/people you serve.
He was honest about the other side of it too. If you're not getting your best that's your signal to change something. Maybe your schedule or even your role.
That's the whole point of the Aspiration work. The perfect Tuesday and the life you're building toward are there so the business pulls your best out of you instead of grinding it down.
Doing that well is good stewardship. The business is yours to steward, so steward yourself too.
What were your takeaways from the interview?
