Introduce Yourself & Your Youtube Channel ๐Ÿ“น
๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿฅณ Hi and welcome to YouTube Operator Academy ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ‘‹ I want to congratulate you on making a decision to take your YouTube journey to the next level. Make a new post in the "๐Ÿ‘‹ Introduce Yourself" category and share your story: I recommend the format: - Bio: - few notes on yourself - Your channel link (If you have it): NOTE - THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE where its allowed to link your channel to avoid self-promotion in the group - Type of content you want to make: Entertainment / Educational / ? - Your Goals with the channel So, I'll start: Bio: My name is Alan Graf, and i am 48, busy dad of 2 kids (aged 11 and 6) who live in ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช Stockholm. I have very little time due to 9/5, kids, house chores, and what little time I have I spend on my Side hustles. (My 2 youtube channels: @Grunfworks, and @Survivaljoe, my Notion template business, and now this Skool community). I have been on YouTube for 12 years now, pivoted many times, did all the mistakes one could do, learned from them, and am finally on a good trajectory to success, so i have a ton of experience what works and what does not. YouTube Channel(s): - https://www.youtube.com/@grunfworks - main gaming entertainment channel (previously variety, nowadays space games) - https://www.youtube.com/@survivaljoe - second gaming channel focusing on survival niche, mostly tips and listicals - https://www.youtube.com/@alannotion - first education channel teaching people on building notion templates. - There are more but none worth mentioning right now (i will add them later) Type of content: - Mainly Entertainment, but pivoting to education now (alannotion) Goals: - With entertainment channels, get more members and patreons - With education channels, help people with notion templates and youtube business, and build authority and sell digital products

โ“ YouTube Operator Academy โ€” Beginner FAQ
Foundations โ€ข Publishing โ€ข Gear โ€ข Growth โ€ข Mindset โ€ข Community When testing with my initial test group I have observed many questions from my fellow beginner content creators. That is why i put up this FAQ to hopefully address some of the questions you might have early on. ๐ŸŽฏ Getting Started & Direction 1. How do I know if my channel topic is โ€œgood enoughโ€ to grow? Do simple research. Search your topic on YouTube and study: - Small channels (under 1,000 subs) - Medium channels (1,000โ€“50,000) - Large channels (50,000+) Look at: - What videos they make - How many views they get - What topics repeat If small channels get views, the niche is active. If big channels exist, the niche has growth potential. 2. Should I focus on one topic or mix a few? Focus on one niche, not one format. A niche = a group of people with shared interest. You can experiment inside it: - Tips - Letโ€™s Plays - News - Lists - Reviews Stay with one audience. Test formats within it. 3. How long should I stay in a niche? Minimum: - 10โ€“20 videos - Or ~3 months YouTube needs time to find your audience. Changing too early resets progress. 4. What matters more early โ€” topic or quality? Audio quality matters most. People forgive average visuals. They donโ€™t forgive bad sound. If you invest early โ†’ buy a microphone first. ๐Ÿ“… Publishing & Consistency 5. How often should I post when starting? Aim for: - 1 video per week - Or 1 every 2 weeks if needed Focus on building the publishing habit. 6. Is one video per week enough? Yes. Consistency beats speed early. Stay steady โ€” scale later. 7. Should I wait until videos are good? No. You improve by publishing โ€” not waiting. Just aim to make each video slightly better. ๐Ÿง  Ideas & Planning 8. Where do video ideas come from? Start with your experience. Examples: - Game struggles - Tips you learned - Problems you solved Also check: - Comments - Questions - Community discussions Questions = video ideas.
