🧰 Fake PayPal Invoice From Geek Squad Is A Tech Support Scam
Got a scary PayPal invoice from "Geek Squad" sitting in your inbox?
Don't panic—and whatever you do, don't call that number.
Scammers are flooding inboxes with fake $823 charges, complete with official-looking PayPal branding and urgent "act now" warnings.
Here's the twist: the email comes from "Tina Pal" at Gmail (seriously), and the whole thing is designed to get you on the phone with fake "tech support."
Once you call, these con artists will beg to remote into your computer to "fix" the problem.
Spoiler alert: the only problem is them rifling through your files, stealing your data, and charging you hundreds for bogus protection software.
The good news? This scam is easier to spot than you think.
Already fell for it? We've got recovery steps.
