Hi I'm Lisa
I've been sewing all my life - I can't remember a time when I wasn't making dolls clothes or embroidering something. I bought my first embroidery machine so I could add embellishments to a jacket I was sewing, and soon after that I began to digitise my own designs.
After 10 years of selling my own digital embroidery designs and quilt patterns, I'm becoming more interested in how the process of creation itself can help us find joy and meaning in an increasingly chaotic world. A big part of that involves keeping a Studio Ledger, where I document and reflect on creating with fabrics and threads.
And in The Embroidered Home, I'm thinking about each room we live in and how to curate the projects we make to add quality and beauty to our lives. I'm striving for meaning, not necessarily perfection.
