That's the thing about the birth lottery.
A Canadian friend of mine posted on LinkedIn today a beautiful photo today of his area. A gorgeous snowcapped mountain, and he's celebrating Canada Day.
I commented on his post: Wanna come visit me? Temps in my world around 100 degrees Fahrenheit, let me get my Celsius thermometer out for you! Would love to visit with you some day and share in the beauty of that mountain view. Happy Canada Day my friend.
My reason for sharing this here is something he said in his post:
I didn't do anything to deserve being born here.
That's the thing about the birth lottery.
You don't apply.
You don't earn it.
You just open your eyes and find out where you landed.
