Vision boards. Word of the year. New habits.
But nobody's asking the question that actually changes everything:
Who and what are you bringing WITH you into 2026?
Here's what I learned building a profitable coaching business while working full time: Your transformation isn't just about what you HAVE. It's about what you have the courage to RELEASE.
I'm not talking about some toxic positivity "new year, new me" nonsense.
I'm talking about a real, honest, sometimes uncomfortable annual review of:
- The friendships that drain you
- The family dynamics you keep tolerating
- The rituals that stopped serving you three years ago
- The habits you pretend are "not that bad"
Let me be direct: You can't level up while carrying dead weight.
THE AUDIT NOBODY TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEED🙄
Last week, I sat down with my journal and asked myself some hard questions:
PEOPLE:
- Who energized me this year vs. who exhausted me?
- Which relationships are reciprocal vs. which ones I'm carrying?
- Who celebrates my wins vs. who subtly diminishes them?
- Am I staying in contact out of love or obligation?
RITUALS:
- What am I doing because "we've always done it" vs. because I actually want to?
- What new rituals would actually reflect who I'm BECOMING?
HABITS:
- Which daily practices still serve my goals vs. which ones are autopilot?
- What am I consuming (media, food, content) that's lowering my energy?
- Which "relaxation" habits are actually numbing mechanisms?
My answers weren't comfortable. But they were NECESSARY.
