The Zenith Gate
A Litha spread for standing at the threshold of fullness
Litha, the Summer Solstice, marks the longest day and shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, typically falling around June 20th–21st. It celebrates vitality, abundance, joy, and the fullness of life, while also reminding us that even at the sun's zenith, the Wheel begins to turn. Litha invites us to honor what has blossomed, gather what has matured, and step consciously into the season ahead.

My Interpretation
1. The Longest Light — The Chariot
The clearest truth emerging for me is that I know how to move forward. I may not have a perfect map, but I trust myself more than I used to. I've learned that direction matters more than certainty.
2. The Hearthfire — Knight of Swords
I don't think this card is asking me to do more; I think it's asking me to stay mentally engaged. Curiosity, learning, writing, meaningful conversations—these are the sparks worth tending. The challenge is remembering that enthusiasm doesn't have to become urgency.
3. The Ripening — Eight of Cups
I've become better at leaving. Not out of avoidance, but from recognizing when something has given all it can give. There is wisdom in knowing that honoring the past doesn't always mean remaining there.
4. The Passing Hour — Justice
Perhaps what I'm releasing is the need to constantly evaluate whether I've earned where I am. Not everything needs to be weighed and measured. Sometimes I can simply trust my choices and let them stand.
5. The Crowning Bloom — The Moon
I love the irony of The Moon appearing here. While the world celebrates sunlight, what seems to be flourishing in me is my comfort with mystery. I've stopped demanding certainty from every unknown and started trusting quieter forms of knowing.
6. The Harvest — Seven of Cups
My harvest isn't one answer—it's options. Possibilities that once felt overwhelming now feel exciting. I don't need to pursue every path. I just need to choose the ones that genuinely call to me.
7. The Solstice Blessing — Six of Pentacles
This season reminds me that support is meant to flow both ways. I can offer what I have without depleting myself, and I can receive what is offered without guilt. There is generosity in both.
I am struck by how deeply this speaks to transition rather than triumph. This isn't a story about arriving at some final destination or basking in uncomplicated abundance. Instead, it reflects a quieter kind of fullness: recognizing my own agency, investing my energy with intention, honoring the wisdom to leave what no longer fits, and releasing the need to continually justify my place in the world. What blooms most beautifully is my trust in mystery, while what I gather from this season is permission to choose among the many possibilities before me without fear of choosing imperfectly.
